Works great
This makes changing struts so much easier. This thing is really well built and very heavy duty. It's amazing for the price. The great thing about it is that you do not have to grab the spring. You can actually put one of the holders on the spring cup. This means that you can get a lot of compression. This is 10 times faster than a traditional spring compressor also.

Don't buy, cheap China junk
Did 2 struts with this thing with no problems, now everything is bent so much and out of whack, you can't hardly compress a spring without endangering everybody in a 5 block radius. Needs to be built heavier. Did struts on a Ford Expedition so nothing too serious.

Shock absorber springs compressor
Affordable, easy to use, good solid, safe tool to have for DIY struts replacement.Ref: 2009 Lexus IS250 front struts replaced.This tool can easily handle bigger springs than my small Lexus IS 250. My husband recommends it. 😂

Heavy duty
Very well made, works great, it's about 65-70 lbs. Assembly was straight forward. Your gunna need a 12mm a 14mm and a 17mm to fully assemble it. I didn't feel like enough washers were included, I used 4 additional ones that I had in my shop. Also i think that a heavy duty S or clip to hook the chain into itself should have been included. Soloing my struts, this dosent have me 2nd guessing if my life is in danger lil

It works, but....
I gave this 3 stars because the product did work, once I fixed it.When it arrived, the box appeared to have oil stains on it, but I didn't think too much of it at the time. Went to use it today and it wouldn't compress the spring. After inspecting it further, it appears that one of the two screws at the bottom of the cylinder was not fully tightened and the oil had apparently leaked out of the cylinder.I added some 80-90W oil that I had on hand and it did work after that, but I shouldn't have had to do that.Bottom line,4 - Stars for the product itself.2 - Stars for the condition as it arrived.3 - Stars Average for the rating.
