when i was a kid their was a small amount of shredded beef in a can for around a dollar, always love it but rarely could afford it. so as a adult i wanted it again, i did not like the price of others options that did have it in a small can like i remembered, so thought this was a good price for what i wanted even thu it was in a resealable bag. it is the same shredded meat i remember taste near identical, the bag is easy to reseal so am happy, i read a random comment that it can be used and a flavor topping and truthfully i agree, never had enough to try as a kid but this bag is a large amount an easy can be used as such and will try it later. the meat itself is very fine easy too chew, a few of the meat had a mild hardness too them so use care if you have false or no teeth, it will be sharp for gums only mention that since my mother has denture and she has issues with things i do not.

After giving this stuff another chance I find the inconsistency to still be annoying, but after a bit I get used to it. The taste is really good for it being shredded jerky, better than most other brands. I've changed my 3 stars to 4. I love eating beef jerky, it's one of my favorite snacks. I really enjoy shredded beef jerky also, but it's either really expensive or doesn't taste as good. This tastes pretty good and has no sugar added which is a plus, but the consistency of it is super annoying. Most is shredded small pieces but there are a lot of hard chunks mixed in. The consistency alone will keep me from ordering this again.

To start I bought two bags. I will go with the negative first. Please screen filter this and all products like it. In one bag I found a good sized clipped finger nail, not sure if it was real or a fake nail. In the other bag I found a piece of clear thick plastic, I'm thinking it was part of a tool used to mix the dried meat. On the positive side, I did like the meat and it worked great for use in my pemmican and just as chew. The taste was nice and it was dry enough to use. They just need to up the quality control and all will be good. I might order for them again. I do need more pemmican. I don't like giving negative reviews in general, but this is a food product. I give a three stars. BUT 5 for flavor, 5 for freshness and 5 for value. So take the review as you will.

With everything going on lately I have been trying to avoid any trips to the store. I had been wanting some machacado for my eggs and decided to try this. It is way better than any machacado I've ever tried. It's similar, but is shredded super fine and mixes very well and easily with eggs. The flavor is perfect. Simple, pure taste of dried meat without tons of preservatives and other ingredients that sound like ingredients in a science lab. I also have family members that love beef jerky, but have a hard time chewing it. They love this stuff better than what you can normally find in other competitors shredded jerky. I will definitely be buying more jerky products from this company, and that says a lot. I am such a beef jerky person, that I have to make my own the way I want it. I make great beef jerky and haven't bought any other since... until now. They have a long time customer here.

I have been using the Jack Links Jerky chew as an aide to help me quit chewing tobacco. I figured I'd try this out just to see if it's any better. I understand it's not specifically for this purpose, but it is disgusting. I love beef jerky, including the small bits at the end of the bag that are similar to this product. Unlike that scenario, this is bland and has many various sized hard bits that get stuck in teeth and cannot be chewed. It is unbearable to eat by itself and I would never add it to food.

It tastes great and a great way to bump up my protein intake without any carbs or sugar. I'm following low carb no sugar plan. I love putting it on my eggs especially when I don't feel like making bacon. I even put it in my salads as sub for croutons. It gives a nice flavor and texture. I've bought this twice and it's always fresh and the larger size lasted a month.
