Review: Title Fun, silly monster story that helps kids face nighttime fears - How to Catch a Monster is a playful and entertaining picture book that turns a common childhood fear into a funny adventure. The story follows a brave young ninja who decides it is finally time to face the monster living in the closet. Instead of simply hiding under the covers, the child makes a plan to catch the monster and discovers that things are not always as scary as they first seem. The rhyming text makes this a great read-aloud book, and the illustrations are colorful, detailed, and full of silly moments that children will enjoy. The story keeps a light Halloween or spooky-season feeling without being too frightening for young readers. It is more fun than scary, making it a good choice for children who like monsters but may still be nervous about the dark or bedtime. I liked the positive message about courage, imagination, and not judging something before understanding it. It gives parents an easy way to talk with children about fears and reminds them that facing a scary situation can sometimes lead to an unexpected friendship. This is a great addition to a Halloween book collection, but it also works well year-round as a bedtime story for children with closet-monster worries. The book is 40 pages and is generally aimed at young children, with the publisher listing it for approximately ages 3–5. Review: A hit with 2-7 year old at my house. - This is the third copy of this book I have bought. The first one I got to read to my 3yr old grandson when he visited. He loved it and had me read it to him over and over during his out of state visit. The drawings are bright and detailed. The story is fun and creative. When he left , I gave it to him. My daughter sent me a video of him “reading “it to himself once he got home. He has the whole book memorized! I replaced the book and shared it with my 2 granddaughter from my son. They also fell in love with this fun book so I gave it to them. I definitely had to replace it for grandma’s house so now I’m on my third copy.

Fun Book for Kids
This book is really fun to read with kids. I got it for my nieces and they both loved it! We are all big fans of the series and the first one we got has the poster with the different creatures you can catch and we couldn't figure out what this one was for a long time until I came across this book. It was funny and the art was cute as it is in all of these How to Catch books.

How to Catch a Monster
This book is cute and my little boy who is monster obsessed loves it. The story is cute and pretty easy to follow. My one flag with the book, and for some families it’s no big deal, it that there is a tiny bit of bathroom humor in a joke about farts. Some people won’t care but some might so I figured it’s good to include here. Overall though, the message of the book is good and not being afraid of monsters is a good takeaway that my son really enjoys.
