Exactly what I needed. I use it for sourdough to keep the bottom from burning. Works like a charm! This package was a little more than enough to fill the bottom of a 5 quart Dutch oven.

They have the weight of beans, which i have used for years. I find that if i use peas or beans that it changes the way they cook, or ruins them, i decided to purchase these. they are perfect. I think that they distributed the heat when I prebaked the crust because the crust was perfectly even.

I’ve never used pie weights before. I’m using these for under my sourdough. I’ve repurchased as I’m using a set for just plain sourdough and a set for sourdough that has messy inclusions. They work well.
