Lovingly roasted at our London HQ in Bermondsey , this coffee has a real dark chocolate flavour to it. The sweetness is very jammy and has a cherry flavour and mouthfeel to match. When it comes to acidity, this coffee is very mild, like ripe apples, and there’s a delicious aftertaste of almonds. About the farm where it is grown Fazenda Sertão is located in Carmo de Minas in Brazil, a mountainous area known for having ideal weather conditions for growing premium coffees. All the coffees are grown facing the tops of the farm’s hills, where it’s sunny and ventilated. This allows for uniform ripening and reduces the risk of fungi, meaning the overall quality of the coffee is much higher. Fazenda Sertão owners, José Isidro Pereira and his wife Nazareth Dias Pereira were married in 1949. Now, the couple’s children, Francisco, Luiz Paulo, Glycia and Sandra, each help run the business and contribute greatly to its development. As Fazenda Sertão continues to grow, José’s and Nazareth’s grandchildren are also now involved in the entire coffee chain. Because we work with small farms and independent growers, the coffees we use to fill our pods are rotated, but we aim for similar tasting coffees and the same roast profiles each time. *Not compatible with Prodigio and Expert models of Nespresso machine
