Outstanding Picture Quality On A Budget. Highly Recommended.
I bought this after a poor experience with the Hisense U6N.The TCL is a league above the Hisense, after a few weeks use. When set up/calibrated, the TCL delivers an outstanding TV picture. I use settings as follows "Movie" preset, Brightness 20, Contrast 62, Colour 60. All motion/clarity settings are off. Everything else is per the "Movie" preset option. For me, this is ideal watching TV in a darkened room with SDR material. I obtained these settings using a Spears & Munsil calibration bluray disc. The image really is fantastic. The black levels are inky dark. It really is far better than I had hoped for.The sound through the TV speakers is perfectly adequate, but I tend to use headphones connected to a headphone amp which in turn is connected to the Optical SPDIF of the TV.All the smart functions work well and are well laid out. BBC Iplayer was a cinch to get working etc.The TV has regular updates, so TCL are constantly improving their user experience. The panel has virtually no DSE (Dirty screen effect). I could have been just lucky here. This DSE problem is very common these days and it's best to run a Youtube video which runs a "Grey uniformity test" just to see if your own TV has any issues.Viewing angles are very good, unlike so many others in this price range/technology level.I am delighted with this TV, which has vastly exceeded my expectations. It is very highly recommended.

A steal at £599.00
My Honest Review of the TCL 65QM8B 65-inch QLED Mini LED TVPrice I Paid: £599 (a steal, honestly!)What I Love:✅ The picture quality blew me away – Coming from an older 4K TV, the Mini LED backlighting makes a HUGE difference. Blacks are deep, and bright scenes (like explosions or sunny landscapes) actually look dazzling. HDR movies and shows feel way more immersive.✅ For £599, this feels like cheating – I was expecting to pay way more for a TV with these specs (QLED + Mini LED + 1300 nits brightness). Compared to what Samsung and LG charge, this is insane value.✅ Gaming is buttery smooth – I hooked up my PC, and the 144Hz + VRR works great. No noticeable lag, and fast-paced games feel super responsive.✅ The colours pop – Watching nature documentaries or animated films (like Spider-Verse) is a treat—everything looks vibrant without being oversaturated.✅ Smart TV is snappy enough – It’s not the fastest, but apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ load quickly. The remote is simple, and I haven’t had any major crashes.✅ Looks sleek in my living room – The thin bezels and minimalist stand make it look way more expensive than it is.✅ It does not have have Alexa built in, but I can get my Alexa Echo to turn the TV off as well change channels, volume, which is a blessing.✅ Using iMax when watching a movie in 4K i beautiful. What I Don’t Love:❌ Sound is just okay – It’s not bad, but it’s not amazing either. I ended up using my old soundbar, and now it’s perfect. If you care about audio, budget for external speakers.Final Verdict:For £599, I’m seriously impressed. The picture quality rivals TVs twice the price, gaming is fantastic, and it looks great in my setup. The downsides (like sound and viewing angles) are easy fixes or minor trade-offs for the price. If you’re looking for a high-end 4K TV without spending a fortune, this is a no-brainer.Would I buy it again? Absolutely! 🚀

Excellent picture and features but sound might be an issue for some
Picture quality is excellent coming from an older LG LCD tv .Sharp and bright where it needs to be as it uses mini led technology.4k ,Dolby vision and HDR10 supported and the settings for dolby IQ settings make the picture even better.I use an Apple tv 4k and its great but when you use the tvs own apps to stream i think it looks just a bit sharper as its native to the tv.The apps work very well and easy to log in if you set up the google home settings then anything you have signed up with google is instantly signed in.Home screen menu can be simple or advanced on the home screen and the main menu options themselves are well laid out although i think missing out sound options is a mistake as picure options are there.(You have to go into the settings further to access sound)Sound is good but lacks real depth which i notice more when listening to music through spotify or radio channels through both tv and apple tv.I ended up buying a soundbar but the tv does get loud on its own so it depends on your preference and needs.Wifi is easy to connect and i've never had any connectivity issues. You cant go wrong with this tv .Regular tv looks good and anything in 4k is even better.Gets great reviews on the web and youtube so it was a simple choice for me

Great TVs for a fantastic price
For the price this TV is great, I live the Google TV interface, and the picture while not being oled is easily but far the best LCD I've ever seen with good viewing angles, vibrant colours and deep blacks. I've got 2 of these now (a 65 and a 50) and I'm very happy!

Fantastic 4K TV. Picture amazing. Apps working with software updates.
Fantastic TV. Excellent picture and Onkyo sound. Issues with BBC iPlayer and UK catch-up services, now resolved, with TCL TV firmware over-the-air update and Google TV software update. Apps then available from Google Play store. Installed and working correctly. Would highly recommend.

Lasted two weeks before QLED panel/TV stopped working.
Was fairly decent and happy with the purchase... whilst it lasted. After just two weeks, the QLED panel stopped working. Screen was glitching/flickering upon power up, even without any inputs added and after both a soft and hard reset. It flickers for a few seconds and you can see a vague backlight, but black and white strips flicker all over the place. Surprised since this has such great reviews which convinced me to purchase, but I notice the build quality is not great at all. Now I'll be without a TV for a few weeks until the return is collected and refunded, and will be going for a different brand. Perhaps I got unlucky... who knows.
