Classic design, better than spring cappos.
I had a Shubb cappo years ago but lost it and decided to try some of the 'Spring loaded' cappos.I recently noticed that the cappos with the spring really grip the neck of my guitars very tight and press all strings down too hard. The effect was to put the guitars out of tune by squeezing the string flat to the fretboard behind the frets. The great thing with this Shubb cappo is that you can alter the pressure by adjusting the grip with the bolt on the cappo. Just enough to press your strings down is all you really need and it's a more natural pressure as if pressing down with your finders.Forget 'spring' cappos, Shubb is the way to go if you want to keep your guitar in tune.

Excellent, but...
Shubb obviously make reliable capos, we know this. My only concern is that it's a actually quite short and so, given the extra width of the classical fingerboard, I doubt you'd be able to use this capo properly beyond the seventh fret.

Excellent design that has even improved over the original with the spring/wheel mechanism.
Excellent design, which has improved since they were first introduced. The spring-wheel mechanism means that the capo needs far less adjustment as you move it up and down the neck, compared to the first-generation models (which were still great). As ever, these capos are great because they are adjustable for optimum string pressure (ensures that the strings are not pressed too hard and thus become out of tune and too little to prevent string buzz) and are almost instant to affix. This classic guitar version is long enough to fit across the wider classical/nylon strung guitar fretboard. I have two curved acoustic guitar versions of these, equally brilliant.

You Can't Improve On Perfection!
Simply the best capo you can buy. Tension adjustable, well padded so no marks left on the necks of my £5000 plus guitars, and affordable enough to have several. Also I have them for my 5 string banjos, flat ones for my classical guitars, extra long one for 12 string guitar.I use a lot of open tunings being a finger style player, so I can have a few guitars tuned and capo fitted, and I can just pick them up and play. Never liked those trigger capos, nor the little strap fitting ones, Shubb just have the tool perfected! Also, now that they have improved the design from the little solid plastic piece, to the small wheel, I can't see them wearing out at all, at least not in my lifetime.

Great Capo
I have had many disappointing experiences of capos in the past. So often they fail to hold the strings down properly or they are difficult to put on or take off. Not so with this capo. It's well made and very easy to use. It holds all the strings down well and there is not hint of buzzing or any deadening of the strings. I'm very happy with my purchase. I can recommend it. This particular model is of course for classical guitars so will only handle the flat fretboard. If you have a steel strung guitar or electric guitar that has a curved fretboard then I think you will need a different model.

Clips on easily to my classical guitar
Clips on easily to my classical guitar. Unlike the super cheap capos this one just needs its screw set once for your guitar then you clip on and off.Though most of the time you won't need to adjust from what I've seen. Its design with a flatter back of the neck in mind reduces the chance of getting a dodgy contact. Also has a nice premium feel to it compared to a cheaper one I had off eBay that required manually twisting the screw every time used and a plastic one I had which broke because the plastic notch wore out.

Superior Capo
Bought for my son's classical guitar, this capo goes on and comes off really easily. It maintains the correct pressure on the strings all the way across, unlike some of the cheaper models which allow the strings to buzz on the frets. You get what you pay for!
