How do I connect a device to the D40 via Bluetooth?

Switch the D40 to Bluetooth mode using the Mode button. A blue light will appear and you’ll hear “Bluetooth.” On your device, select “D40” to pair. You’ll hear “Bluetooth Connected” when the pairing is successful.

Can the D40 speakers be used with a TV using an optical cable?

Yes. Connect an optical cable to the OPTICAL input at the rear. Use the Mode button to switch to Optical mode. The red indicator light will turn on and “Optical” will be heard when the mode is active.

What audio file types does the D40 support via USB or SD card?

The D40 supports MP3 and FLAC files. Use USB or SD cards up to 64GB. Insert the device, and the D40 will automatically switch to the correct mode and begin playing supported files.

Does the D40 speaker system support headphone use?

Yes. Plug wired headphones into the headphone jack on the right speaker. Audio will automatically route through the headphones. Bluetooth headphones are not supported.

How do I adjust bass and treble settings on the D40?

Use the remote control: Bass+/Bass– and Treble+/Treble– buttons allow sound customisation. Press the Reset button to return treble and bass settings to default. These adjustments apply to all audio modes.
