Very nice bag. It looks and feels handcrafted, more like what you'd find in a crafts fair than a store. That has its tradeoffs - this is no Gucci bag, with polished leather and flawlessness - but for me the natural imperfections add character. Hopefully it holds up well!UPDATE: this bag has seen some tough days but I am always getting remarks on it. It’s developing the aged leather look which people are really liking (myself included).BUT - it’s stitchwork isn’t top quality, so I’ve had to keep an eye on that and do some mending. The shoulder strap could be better and especially if you’re trying to shorten the strap (I use a clip to hold down the excess strap; might see a leatherworker to cut and stitch it), and the clips/latches had to be replaced because the original ones just fell apart after 2-3 years.Still, I’ll keep it a 5-star rating. Anything that gets daily use will have wear and tear. I recommend this bag as a gift idea to people who ask, and tell people where I got it.

So far, so good. I think this such a beautiful bag, especially for $32. Comparable bags are priced upwards of $50 to $80. I have read some bad reviews about the durability of the hardware and/or straps. I can tell you that the strap is a little thin, but it is made out of SKIN. If you overload it and never condition it, the strap will not break - YOU will break the strap. I have owned lots of nice leather bags; I have owned lots of cheap leather bags. In my opinion, this is a beautiful bargain. Like anything else, if you care for it regularly and lovingly, it will last. You can condition a PU leather-look bag with auto cleaner and it will last a good while. I anticipate my bags softening, not that was is unreasonably stiff when I got it. I will love and appreciate it to make sure it lasts, but if it doesn't, I will let you know.

I bought this for my husband so he would stop asking me to carry his things in my purse. I was hesitant about giving it to him because I wasn't sure if he'd feel like I was giving him a "man purse." Turns out, he loves it! He calls it his "satchel" and he loves it. The leather is nice quality, the craftsmanship seems like it will hold up well over time. The only problem is that there was a little bit of glue on the inside of the bag that made a section of the canvas sticky for the first couple of days but it wore off with use pretty quickly.

I ordered the bag prior to starting grad school in the fall. I have had 3 completely separate issues with the product in the 6 months since ordering.1. Within weeks of ordering, the metal clasps for the shoulder bag wouldn't hook right. This was a minor inconvenience, because anytime I picked the bag up, I'd have to re-hook the bag.2. The zupper compartment completely frayed within 2 months.3. After the clasps stopped working, I started carrying the bag with the handle. Within 2 months of switching, the entire handle ripped off the bag.I really liked the design of the bag and I took care of it. I only used it to carry a lap-top and a textbook. I was completely underwhelmed by the quality of the bag though.Worse yet, when I contacted the manufacturer about a refund, they wouldn't oblige snice "the order was fulfilled by Amazon." Amazon is in no way responsible for making such a crappy product

I'm very disappointed with this bag. I bought it because of the positives reviews. I'm sorry to say that this just wasn't true for me. It's very cheap looking. The shoulder strap is very thin and quite long. It doesn't have the good leather smell but a funky smell inside the bag. On the inside cover of the bag is a black spot that is very unattractive. The worst thing was the sticky black Stuff that was on the inside sipper compartment. I don't know what it is but its nothing good. The only thing I liked about the bag is the roomy space. I don't usually return things but this bag must go back.

A little smaller than I expected; it does hold my 15" MacBook Pro, but it's a tight fit. It's a great value, if it holds up.Update:There is corrosion on the buckles, now.

I love it, the smell of genuine leather is hypnotic. This bag does everything I need it to and fits my Dell 15 inch laptop just fine. I also carry the laptop charger, an ipad and various other note taking items and they fit with no issue. If you get this bag, you will love it!

Great bag..the strap needs to be thicker to support you laptop and other items we educators and others carry in this type of bag. I've contacted the maker to see if they have a thicker strap for purchase
