Didn't realize the bag was that big!
given the price for a 5lb and 10lb I got the 10I got 2 1/2 lbs I can't get in my container.....Ya I got a Large container for storageWish that they had cooking instructions on it!was experimenting to see how it would cook up in spaghetti sauce.I did up an Italian goulash with 4 jugs NO Salt Sauce, 2 c Rye Berries, 3/4 c TVP, 3 lb spiral sliced diced ham, bag froz Italian Veg, 1 bag froz Stir Fry Veg, & Diced up cauliflower and plenty of different Italian spicesSince I've never worked with Rye before it stayed rather chewy but with NO PASTA this isn't a bad thing gives the meal some body. I got 9 ~ 3 cup meals out of this and while it might not look all that great. It definitely is on the nutritious side....keep sneaking in more Veg! and LOW on the CARBS! Juvenile Diabetic here with a big appetite! And the important thing to me it tastes good!!so this definitely worked for me. about 45 gram carb....If this was a pasta dish even with whole wheat pasta I'd be around 75 - 80 carbI've been picking up allot of different whole grains to work with incorporating them different ways into my meals

Very nice
This is the first time I try rye berries. I was looking for grain that has high fiber and protein, and rye berries have highest amount of fiber and protein among all grains I researched. The grain is very nice once I opened it. I did not encounter problems other people described. I used high pressure cooker to cook it (use bean setting), and it came out perfectly. Chewy and no strange taste. I will keep buying this and use for my main grain intake.

Seems like a good product
I partially run this through a coffee grinder and mix it with my oatmeal, and give it a fairly good cooking in the microwave. I like a breakfast that requires that I do a lot of chewing, which this does. It requires chewing because I probably do not cook it as long as recommended. I think this will last a long time as a supplement to my oatmeal, which I mixe with berries, date syrup, yogurt and oat milk. So I don't know anything about the flavor.

great taste, highly recommend
Very fresh, great taste, highly recommend. Resealable bag is great since it takes a bit to eat this much (3lb). I am leaving 4 stars instead of 5 because they are very dusty. This in no way decreases the quality of the grain, it just means a LOT of rinsing before you soak them. Otherwise the dust (grain dust, not dirt or anything gross) will cause them to clump pretty badly when cooking. If you're purchasing these to sprout then I don't think that will be a concern. But for eating it's a trivial but nonetheless annoying extra step. That being said, they have the best price I've found on Amazon for good quality rye berries and I will absolutely be purchasing from then again.

Makes sour dough rye bread, rye berry salads and put them in BROL a breakfast oatmeal
It’s good I like it in my sour dough bread! As well as in Rye Berry Salad! Yum! The rye takes 45 minutes to simmer like brown rice but it holds up nicely in a grain salad. I also use it in my morning BROL barley rye oats and lentils breakfast cereal. Soak equal parts in boiling water overnight and simmer 20 minutes in the morning. Makes a lovely grainy hot cereal.

Make great Bread
We had Winnipeg Rye Bread when we were on vacation and when we got home I wanted to make some for my husband but it was hard to find rye berries. Glad to find this company that sold organic rye berries. They make a great bread that my husband loves.

Hard to find Rye grain
I used this in home made Winnipeg rye bread. If you ever get to Winnipeg Manitoba or surrounding areas, where I used to live, you have to try this local rye bread. Absolutely amazing bread
