Product Description This collection presents the series' third season for a total of 24 episodes. Star David James Elliott, Catherine Bell Special Features: Full Frame Format. .com Former Navy pilot-turned-JAG attorney Harmon "Harm" Rabb (David James Elliott) finds a connecting thread through a number of seemingly random cases he takes on in JAG (Judge Advocate General): The Complete Third Season. The thread concerns the fate of his father, a Navy pilot shot down over Vietnam and missing in action since the war, a fact that has possessed Harm since childhood. Building on scattered clues and shards of testimony, The Complete Third Season suggests that the elder Rabb fell into the hands of the Soviet Union, a possibility that Harm is compelled to investigate all the way through a taut, cliffhanger ending involving a stolen, Soviet MiG fighter. Not that everything is about one storyline. The rest of season three features the usual mix of interesting military cases, a few with strong parallels to events in the real world. "Ghost Ship" concerns the discovery of a human skeleton between two hulls of a decommissioned carrier (that happened to be where Harms father served). The remains are of a man who appears to have been murdered circa 1970, and the whole case brings back a lot of ghosts for Harm. "The Court-Martial of Sandra Gilbert" finds a welcome guest-starring role from Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays a Cobra pilot on trial for allegedly maintaining an affair with an enlisted man despite orders to cease. The situation pits Harm, defending Mitchells character, against his JAG colleague Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (Catherine Bell), who volunteers to prosecute the case to assure fairness toward the accused. When the case becomes a hot, political football, both Harm and Mac find themselves in a very delicate situation in the national spotlight. "King of the Fleas" is an unsettling episode about a disabled, Vietnam War vet who kills a Vietnamese-American man he claims was a war criminal. He also provides the first eyewitness account that downed, U.S. pilots in Vietnam were taken into custody by Soviets, a claim that galvanizes Harm. Also provocative is "Above and Beyond," in which an African-American Navy SEAL, believing he is subject to a racist, double standard of scrutiny, chafes under an investigation into his worthiness to receive a Medal of Honor. --Tom Keogh

Love the show but.....
I love this show and the only reason I have given this 4 stars is that the first episode of each disc is only able to be viewed with audio commentary from 2 of the cast members talking throughout the whole thing. This includes while the show is running so you are unable to hear what is being said and not able to follow the story line completely. Maybe there is a way to get around this but I have not been able to discover any as I am watching these on an external drive with my laptop with no access to television or standard DVD player. It seems if you pay for episodes of a television show most people are doing so because they want to watch these shows, not miss out on 4 episodes because of audio commentary.

Bellisario's best!
Rewatching JAG from the beginning has been such a rewarding experience. All episode plots aside, David James Elliott (Harm) and Catherine Bell (Mac) have fantastic chemistry and I rarely see comparable couples on television these days. The supporting actors, such as Patrick Labyorteaux (Bud) and John Jackson (the Admiral), continue to outshine their previous performances. The whole cast meshes so well that they seem like their own loving family, even in the midst of strife and turmoil. Needless to say, I will continue forward into Season 4 and beyond. JAG continues to be a fantastic show that you and your family will enjoy.

Great, You should own it!
Of course I love this set. Season 3 is great! Will always keep this and rewatch...David James Elliott, Catherine Bell and supporting cast are so strong. If you are not a fan or never saw the series ( I didn't watch TV so never saw the series) buy this season and you can always go back and buy other seasons. They don't necessarily need to be watched in order even though you get the history because in this show time moves on and people mature and change. That was one of the Strong points of this whole series through the years.

JAG - Season 3
I have been extremely pleased with this purchase and all of the JAG series that I have gotten from Amazon. The series are very enjoyable and I look forward to continuing adding to my collection thru the entire series. The service at Amazon is terrific, easy to find, and delivery is excellent. I have not been disappointed at all. My only question is as to when is the expected release date for JAG - Season 7. I have all of the first six seasons and am greatly looking forward to being able to purchase Season 7.

I love watching JAG
I love watching JAG. Wish more seasons were available. I don't know if this show is written as well as Belasario's other shoes like NCIS.....sometimes the plot is weak. And what lawyer with night blindness would be allowed to fly the planes DJE is allowed to fly? But I like the characters and it is fun to watch.

THIS IS MORE LIKE IT!
Season 2 proved disappointingly uneven. Season 3 belongs to a higher league. Most of the scripts feature thought provoking issues, intriguing cases, some unexpected outcomes. David James Elliot and Catherine Bell make a good team as Rabb and Mac, John M Jackson's Admiral developing unsuspected traits!A particular pleasure this time round is the quality of acting from some present for only one episode or for a brief, most telling sequence. Hard of heart is any viewer not genuinely moved by that key witness towards the end of Episode 3. What about that Episode 5 tour de force from the grizzled, wheelchair war veteran? Not to be overlooked either is the actor playing young Josh - a performance impressively self-assured and ahead of his years.Admittedly certain disappointments remain. It cheapens when scriptwriters think it necessary to have Rabb so often falling for the latest woman to appear (at one time even inviting to dine at his apartment someone he is defending in a murder trial). Attempts at humour also remain decidedly clunky (Bud and Harriet the main offenders). Far more impressive are the hilarious Episode 15 antics of three old codgers headed by Ernest Borgnine, they ingeniously taking on a cocky drug dealer who claims diplomatic immunity.Overall there is much to enjoy. JAG represents a guilty pleasure, with promising signs it is likely to become even more so.

Excellent series
This is one of my all time favourite series, and this one of the best seasons. Why do I like JAG so much. It offers action in the air and on the ground, military and non military, in both domestic and international settings. It shows both the tough side of the military as well as being warm and at times almost cuddly. The cast are mostly very likeable and not exactly unattractive. It has good court room drama. There is at times a hint of romance. And it does all this without being raunchy, smutty, or foul mouthed. A pretty good package all round in my book.
