Worked perfectly. Great price.
Needed this for a headlamp to use at work. The food processing factory I worked at wouldn't allow cloth headlamp bands for hardhats and luckily I found this. Worked great and would definitely recommend. Was a bit tight on my hardhat and hard to get on but I never took the headlamp off afterwards so no complaints really. Perfect for what I needed it for.

Great replacement band
In my case I needed something for use in a cleanroom where elastic bands are not permitted due to the particles they can release. This rubber band helps hold it in place over the cleanroom hood.

These rubber straps are great! But keep in mind
The soft straps that come with majority of headlamps are designed for comfort and economy. Unfortunately they don't last with continuous usage. Before long they stretch out and the straps are hanging on your ears. These rubber straps are great! But keep in mind, correct adjustment is critical, these are not as stretchy as the fabric style.

Pretty good!
What can I say? My dog chewed up the strap on my fav Nitecore. Now that I have this strap I like the headlamp even more. This seems to provide better retention than the cloths elastic strap. It does smell a little like imported rubber, but it's not too bad. It's cheaply made, but it's cheap cost and lightweight so it works perfectly fine. Im gonna order up 2 more to "upgrade" my other headlights. It does hold the light on my head better than the original with the top strap. So that's cool.

Squeezes tight on hardhat
I've had the streamlight headlamp for 2 years now. Bought the replacement strap over a year ago and lasted over a year. I work with it on my hardhat 24/7 in a dusty dry environment. Probably would last even longer if I would clean the saltcake off it every once in awhile. Definitely 5 star if your going to use it on a hardhat.

Works good
Use this for my light on a full brim hard hat. Works good.

Headlamp holder
Good for headlamp holder. Use it as my Pelican and Gentos headlamp replacement strap. Most of the supplied strap made of elastic strap that will easily worn out over time. Rubber elastic strap will last longer than ordinary elastic strap

Do the math. They ALL break, find an alternative or just deal. Shameful on Streamlight.
If you use it for construction, forget about it. 2 years if you are ginger with it. Light? Solid! Strap? Weak point! Its the worst design ever, and the cheap quality of the proprietary strap gives you guaranteed failure @ 2 years or less if you work everyday. Mine stays perma-mounted on my helmet until the strap breaks. Its a slip-through design. Theres another one on here available, for like 5 bucks (always). Its rubber, no markings, not a built-in weak point. (2 actually). And even though those lights are tough as nails, the housing WILL break if dropped on concrete at the right angle. This is my fourth Protac XL headlamp, and I have some other options too. The light is a workhorse, attached with a strap with a weak ankle. No helmet? No problem! I am uncomfortable about the value Twenty five years in construction, two per year, ten dollars apeice. Dang. Thats five-hundred bucks already. High upkeep! And the batteries...
