SODIAL(R) Traditional Hexagon Wooden Chinese Checkers Family Game Set

HiI bought this version with pins instead of marbles because I work with kids and I thought that the pins would be more stable and stay in the holes in case the board got shaken.But if you consider that :- the pins are 25 mm tall,- the insertable part of the pins is only 7 mm,- the insertable part of the pins is not cylindrical, but conical,- the holes are way too large (holes diameter : 1 mm wider than the pins)then the pins are very unstable and often tilt on the side and come out of the holes if the board is shaken a little bit. When you play a game with pins, you expect a minimum of stability.Also, this version has no lines between the holes (unlike the one on the photo that I joined) to indicate the directions of the moves. Young players who are used to playing square board games often think they can move vertically which doesn't work here.A little varnish finish on the board would also have been ideal.

Well made but rather small for a family game set. Could almost could be travel size. Probably worth spending a bit more for bigger board if several people are likely to play together.
