Great product but black thread finished before the job done and I had to get more, I hope it will not happen with other colours.

I was so excited to order and receive this cross stitch pattern and I was pleasantly surprised when I received and opened it!The product is well packaged, the quality is great, the directions are easy to read and understand.I am 40 and have minimal experience cross-stitching so I could easily figure out how to begin based on the directions that were provided. I did however grow up with a mother who cross-stitched so I remember watching her and how she worked with her patterns and materials.The most difficult part is splitting the string. Each 1 strand has six finer strings that are twisted together. The strings need to be split in groups of two’s for this pattern. This is by far the most time consuming part.The colour of the string are vibrant and are of good quality.The cross-stitches are small (see image) I wear 1.25 prescription glasses when reading and I tried stitching this for 30min without my glasses and I started feeling ill.There needs to be 100 cross stitches to complete 1 square on the pattern. (See image) I will need to stitch 30,000 some stitches to complete this pattern.I figure it will take me nearly a year if I commit to stitching 100 stitches a day.It DOES NOT come with the ring. I had one of my own.I would recommend this to anyone who wants a challenge. Will post a pic in a year when it’s completed! :)

When I opened the kit, I thought immediately that the yarn felt really light for a project this big so I focused on doing it differently as I usually do and finish it colour by colour. After doing 3 colours it’s obvious I didn’t receive enough. When looking at a picture in another review… I didn’t even get half of that. Sent several messages to the seller but they haven’t responded. Very disappointed!Update: after more than a month later, they finally replied. I requested a refund, which they gave me.In the meantime, I’d ordered the same product from a different supplier for almost half the price, and, luckily, they did send me the full amount of thread.

I read a review that said the chart was confusing, but I disagree. I find the printed colours a bit of a distraction but understand that the printed colours are a contrast so the thread colours are easier to stitch. Can't wait to start. Very happy.

I have only worked with counted cross stitch and prefer that compared to a stamped fabric. I love creating from a blank canvas. Some of the reviews mentioned that the DMC floss would break or fray. I found a solution to this problem. I traded out the needles with ones with a slightly larger eye and have had no issues with fraying or breakage. The needles provided in this kit have too small of an eye in my opinion causing the floss to be challenging to thread and to break. This is turning out to be a beautiful print and cannot wait to finish it!
