Perfect fit for Old Hickory 7" butcher knife
While I do have a large number of bushcraft knives, I'm old school and don't see a need for some sort of $300 "magic tracker" knife. I do fine with an Old Hickory/Ontario butcher knife. The one problem with that type of knife is that they don't come with a sheath, so I rolled the dice on this one.The 7" knife fits perfectly in this sheath, which is nice. However, the leather of this sheath is much thinner than appropriate which makes me worried about it not being durable enough. It also lack the extra bit of leather that protects the stitching from being cut by the blade. I'll use it but I'll keep looking for a more durable sheath.

Extremely light duty
These things are made extremely light. The leather is thin and the ferro rod loop will only hold maybe a 1/8" diameter ferro rodI purchased 2 to store knives in untill I could get good sheaths made for them. They will work for this but I wouldn't carry them.
