these extractors will work on any bolt or screw no matter how rounded off the heads are.

Worked fine for me. I had a badly rusted bolt at my furnace in a place where only a socket would fit. The head was rounded by the regular 1/4'' socket because of the rust. This tool worked perfectly to undo the bolt.

Funny that "What's In The Box" gives 9 sizes that are in the 7 Piece Set. Would that there were, because I needed a size between 7/16 and 1/2 inch. I did only expect the 7, and will keep the set.

If I had just bought this set earlier I would have saved myself hours (and I mean hours) of time trying to get out a rounded bolt on my 6.4 Powerstroke. I had used a cheaper set from Harbor Freight but I only managed to get out one bolt before the cheap sockets wouldn't bite. I chucked the 8 mm bit from the Irwin set into my cordless impact and bam, the bolt was out in seconds. Right tool for the job. I highly recommend this set. Should have been in my tool box earlier. Skip the cheaper set and get this one, period.

Bought this for my Daughter for christmas, we ended up opening it a day early as she was replacing stair treads and there were a few screws that had been stripped out. When she oponed it she got all excited and tried it our and it worked like a charm. Had to go to Amazon as the local Home Depot and Lowe's did not carry this type of tool attachment. Company was quick on delivery and if I need anything else like this I guess the place to find it is Amazon. The price was very good. Would buy another set or similiar if I had anyone else that would use it besides my Daughter.

The Power-Grip efficiently removed a stripped #10 stainless 2.5 inch screw which an alternative system had failed to do. Unfortunately, the head snapped off the screw, but I was able to use one of the smaller sizes of the Power Grip to remove the remaining screw body from the wood. Excellent and highly recommended. Note, this system would likely not work with a countersunk screw as the Power-Grip needs to grab the screw head. Made in USA!

I had a 4 bolts on a lawn mower engine cover that were recessed and very difficult to get to. Being recessed they tended to hold dirt and water and resulted in the bolts becoming rusted. I managed to get two out with standard sockets but the other two were impossible to remove and became rounded off due after my multiple attempts to get them out. I decided to try this set before moving on to more destructive methods of removal. They arrived quickly and I immediately opened the package with high hopes. It worked great on the first rounded one that I tried it on. No such luck for the second one. Apparently it was too far gone. I had to cut away part of the plastic engine cover in order to get to the bolt and use a pair of vice grips to get it out. So... for my needs this has set has worked 50% of the time. If I had used these before my multiple attempts with the standard sockets it probably would have gotten that last stubborn bolt before I rounded it off too much. Overall I'm glad I have these on hand for future problem problem bolts.

It is not for heavy duty applications. It is not for use with impact driver as the package icons suggest to use them either manually or with a power drill. If you have a situation to use them, I suggest you certificate the threads are reasonably free using lubricant, hot air or a flame, and manually handle them. This is the way I use as I do not have lots of damaged screws to remove at the same occasion. It works perfectly to me - up to now I have no surprise with them. For heavy duty applications probably you will be best served with something manufactured to support bigger efforts. I recommend them for light applications!

The bolt/nut removers worked really well in a confined space removing a corroded torx bolt. Good quality.
