Surin Solid Monkey Pod Wood, Hand-Carved, Painted Library Side Table

This product is beyond my expectation. I know it’s described as solid, but it really is solid. I am very happy with this, as it makes the table very sturdy. The design and coloring make it a decorative piece as well as a functional one. Thank you!

I love this quirky table, sits well in my husband's study as a sidetable to his armchair. The corner was squashed, which I was not happy about, but too heavy and troublesome to return, so I kept it.

My first order came through damaged in transit and by contacting the seller I was treated very politely and his return policy was efficient. I've just received my replacement and it is beautiful. As a bookworm this side table is ideal and very fitting. Friends who saw the first one were rather envious and want one themselves. It creates colour, warmth and is a talking point. It is of course functional for your tea/coffee and your current book! Definitely use coasters as you don't want rings on this beautiful piece of furniture.

I was delighted with this book table when it arrived in summer 2017. It looked absolutely beautiful. However, there was a slightly 'greasy' feel to it like you'd get from a child's crayon which I wasn't entirely happy about. It wasn't long at all until I noticed that the paint was starting to wear off, even when just using a dry cloth to wipe away dust - the cloth is normally stained with the colour of the paint. You can't set anything like a glass or cup on the table and it will leave a ring - even if the cup or glass is cold and you have used a napkin or cloth / lace covering. These rings can't be removed. The gold paint has also started flaking off. I will now have to sand down the top 'book', repaint it, including the gold sections and varnish it all to protect against more damage and flaking. Don't get me wrong, I love this table and it still looks great, it's just been let down by an inferior quality finish.

Beautiful! I love this table and it is much more solid and sturdy than it looks in the photographs. As it was DPD that were delivering, I had arranged to collect it from my local Sainsbury's. They had very kindly put it in a trolley for me to collect, as it was a lot heavier than I expected! It was very well packed and arrived within 3 days of ordering, so very quick and flexible delivery. It looks fantastic in my lounge and I would definitely recommend this table.

I am very pleased with my table. It is very well made and excellent quality. I would reccomend it. I was very impressed that I was phoned prior to delivery, to arrange a day that would fit in with me, something I haven't experienced before. I would buy again.
