VitaSpelt Mini Pretzels, Original Spelt Pretzel, 7-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)

This was a bit of a surprise to me. I've been working at eating healthy for 20 years, I'm from the era where "white" meant pure and healthy. So I make the best choices I can with the info I can find yet still eat somewhat "mainstream". So for a crunchy snack, that meant whole wheat pretzels, and I enjoy them, the sweet wheat taste is nice. However, I saw these and I was curious, the price is certainly reasonable compared to purchasing locally so I gave them a go - how bad could they be? They are amazingly like the fresh crunchy pretzels of my youth which included bleached white flour. So much like them that I re-checked the ingredients. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was expecting something different, perhaps that might take some getting used to but these are just great. I would change brands for one with sea salt, but for now, I'm happy that my snacking can be a bit healthier. If you are looking for wheat free, healthier or just wanting to try something different, I think you might enjoy these.

The ingredients listed on Amazon state that Canola oil is used in this product, but when the product arrived it contained Soybean oil. OVER 1 million people in the United States are allergic to Soy and I am one of them.

I cannot eat soy and expressly ordered these because the ingredient list said Canola oil. Soy is a major allergen so that is not an acceptable mistake. Now I have an entire case. I will let my kids eta them but I am not happy about them having soy either. The kid say they taste good though so it isn't a total bust

I have not found these in health stores n markets i shop... i should have gotten reg pretzels this brand, not sourdough... you can NOT taste sourdough flavor and there is not much salt on them. I was so excited to find them, getting them was a bit of disappointment.... ALSO THE LABEL SAYS: spelt (wheat) which is it, a concern of mine am i eating wheat or spelt pretzels?

These are very good pretzels. They could be just a bit saltier, though. I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars because I like the Newman's Own Spelt Pretzels a bit better.

I didn't realize how many would be in a 7 ounce bag, but I am very pleasantly surprised. When I figure out how to get 2 orders of these at a time on subscribe and save I will!!! These are the near perfect pretzel. They have the best combination of pretzel and salt that I have found. they are highly addicting so beware if you get the 12 pack :0)

The bags arrived with no protective air to ensure freshness. The Pretzels had no snap and were stale. Not sure what happened as these are usually pretty good.

I've had a variety of Vita Spelt pretzels before that were most likely not sourdough. They were smaller and crunchier, and based on the previous experience, I ordered these. The taste is ok, but they are kind of doughy in the mouth. In the future I'll stick to Newman's Spelt Pretzels.
