Companions of Champlain: Founding Families of Quebec, 1608-1635. with 2016 Addendum Paperback – January 10, 2016

Would recommend that anyone seriously interested in understanding their own French-Canadian heritage add this to their library.

I wanted to know what families settled New France (Canada). This book covers the period of 1600-1635 and answers that. From the first settlements that did not work out and the reason for the coming to Canada.The goal was for fur and not settlement.I got quickly into the book and it was hard to put down. Gave me a better understanding of France during this time period.It is a must have if doing French-Canadian Genealogy. It fills in lots of missing information. Great addition to my little Genealogy Library

Love reading about my Founding Ancestors!

Was looking for conformation my family/ancestors were there and helped settle the area. Did not disappoint.

Anyone researching the migration of their ancestors from France to Canada in the time of Champlain should check this out. Family references for those who were on the voyage.

Quality book, very informative

I had looked thru this book in the library many years ago . It had much more information in that book. This one was quite small and limited information .
