Fit like it was an OEM.
Another piece of my air compressor rebuild puzzle. Fit perfectly on an old Harbor Freight 8-gallon compressor unit. Clean threads no burrs installed and works like it should.

The real deal
I had to replace the check valve on a HF compressor l purchased many years ago...l ordered the valve from two other vendors and they were returned because the threads would not match up to the hoses correctly. Different threads from China--apparently.This one comes with the proper threaded nuts and it was an easy fix...this is the one you want if you are replacing the check valve on a HF model 40400 air compressor...if you don't get this one your wasting your time.

Not compatible with my compressor
I have the CENTRAL PNEUMATIC 29 gallon 2 HP 150 PSI Cast Iron Vertical Air Compressor. This valve was too small and not a direct replacement. I returned it with no issues.

Works perfect for the Harbor Freight (Central Pneumatic) 40400
I bought this to replace the old check valve after it shattered (crappy cast metal). This new one, although I don't think it's actually brass, seems to work great so far! Will update with reviews if anything wrong happens, but it seems to be a genuine copy of the original with better materials.

This one finally fixed the compressor, saved me $100.
I spent hours looking for Chinese metric fittings, this check valve fit perfect and had all the fittings with it.

Appears to have decent construction
Could not end up using due to damage to the tank side threads, but this looks like it would have done the job of bringing the old compressor back to life.
