Hello Kitty Collaborations Hardcover – April 8, 2014

This is a beautiful Hello Kitty book and well worth the price! The book is full of colorful illustrations that all Hello Kitty enthusiasts will enjoy. I highly recommend this book.

NICE BOOK!

Having just attended the HK Supercute Friendship Festival in Minneapolis, I was sorely disappointed that they had no books of any kind for sale at the event. My daughter and I felt it was a huge missed opportunity on their part. Thus, after finding a preview of the inside of this book on another site, I'm on Amazon buying because I think it's awesome! :D

If you were expecting a pictorial with some kind of narrative about Hello Kitty and Sanrio, you will be sorely disappointed. This book reads like a big advertisement for all these companies that put out Hello Kitty items (Mikmoto, Uniqlo etc). There is really no text in this book. Plus we get the butt ugly Lady Gaga smeared all over two of the pages (really, do I need to see this?).This is so disappointing.On the other hand, the book is nicely bound with thick paper -as are all Rizzoli produced books.If you like looking at pictures, go buy this book. If you want something substantive, skip it. I may hold onto it and sell it as soon as this sucker is discontinued. At least I get my money back.

I already bought this book from another provider. I wanted this same book for my sister as she also loves HK. I thought the price amazing for its original RRP.It’s perfect, with minor unnoticeable wear.

On time, great condition and really good book.

Disappointing to be honest. Bought cos of my interest in character design and my intrigue as to how the character has lasted. I wouldn't call this an art book; at least not what I was looking for. It's more of a glossy catalogue of some products by other companies that have featured Hello Kitty. By that I mean many of the items presented are photographed in a way you'd expect to see them in a catalogue; there's not much 'artistic' photography going on. There is NO history of Hello Kitty. No introductory reason as to why the book exists ( I assume to celebrate the 40th anniversary ). No background to the character at all. Some of the collaborations are interesting, but there is NO mention as to how or why the collaborations took place. There is some writing about each company or person collaborating, but the writing is minimal with few actual interviews and the writing is mainly advertising that company or person without explanation of their collaboration with Sanrio.I don't really know what to make of the book. I think I may be more interested in the book ' Hello Kitty, Hello Art!: Works of Art Inspired by Sanrio Characters ' for some diversity
