Good remote ID module at a very reasonable price
Purchased the Holystone remote ID module for an older > 250g drone that lacks the functionality. Note that along with the drone, the module has to be registered with the FAA in the US.Downloaded the Android version of the Drone Go2 app to configure the module, no issues. One thing I learned (and that Holystone customer support didn't catch), was that on Android location permission must not only be granted to the app but location needs to be enabled (I normally leave location off in a likely-futile effort to minimize tracking by Big Tech). Initially I had granted the permission but NOT enabled location and the Drone Go2 app couldn't find and connect to the module.Attached the module using the provided Velcro adhesive strips. Was worried that they wouldn't hold and the module would depart the drone, but so far in about a 1/2-hour of flying it has stayed in place.Tested and tracked the drone and module with the OpenDroneID app, worked fine.There are much more expensive remote ID modules available, but the Holystone seems to work well and is very reasonably priced.

Easy to set up and use,reasonable priced to be FAA compliant and legal !! And very pleased with it's small size !!! Because the last thing you want is to be flying your drone around with a brick mounted on the hood , so it gets a thumbs up 👍 from me

Some difficulty at first
It works as designed seemingly.Initially, I couldn't get it configured using an android, i had to use them apple phone.In troubleshooting the android problem, I learned that if I reset all of the bluetooth settings, then the android was able to configure and yes detect the unit with a scanning app.

Not impressed with customer service or product at this point
So far I'm not impressed. Can't get it to charge. Called customer service a bunch of times get only a recording. Someone called back and left a message but I could not understand a word they said. Email has gotten no response.

great FAA compatible identification beacon
Registered my module with the FAA. Works perfectly for my original drone I built in 2019 when I renewed the license.
