I have older recessed cans in many areas of my house. They didn't have any clips in them. Making impossible to retro fit with newer LED kits. I found these and it solved that problem.

These clips were exactly what I needed for installing spring-loaded retrofit LED lights in my old smooth-sided cans. It took a couple of tries to determine the best positioning of the clips in the cans and the best tools for accomplishing the installation. It was also awkward to access the cans in the ceiling. Once I figured things out, it was better. Glad I found these clips. Would have been way more expensive to replace the old cans with new fixtures.

These are great but know these things:1) you will really want a right angle drill2) drill a pilot hole just slightly smaller than the screw3) make sure your holes are directly across from each other or the trim may not sit flush and centered.4) figure out how high to drill based on the clips you use. Too high or too low and the trims may not seat right. I drilled at the length of my index finger up from the bottom. Doesn’t need to be exact.5) use a stubby Phillips and put the screws in by hand.I know the screws are self tapping but there wasn’t enough room to work and keep the clip lined up even with my right angle drill and a Phillips bit. After dropping the screw a dozen times I just used a drill bit for a pilot hole. So much faster.

They bent , too weak

Amazon these things are crap. This is the second item i have received from You without instructoons or mfg info. These items do not work. I am getting concerned about your quality of items you sell
