Suitable for starters

We are a very active family and play a lot of competitive badminton at league level, husband, wife and 2 older teenagers.Recently we saw that our local leisure center was advertising playing Pickleball, so we was intrigued in trying it out. We soon became addicted to the game and now play it at least once or twice a week. I started looking into getting our own set since we had been hiring the leisure centers equipment, they had both wooden and fiberglass sets and after trying both of theirs we preferred the wooden bats better as the plastic bats were just too thin and you couldn't get the ball going as far, as it almost slapped the thin plastic and did not repel anything back into the stroke.After doing a lot of reading I concluded that fibreglass is better than wooden rackets but I needed to ensure the thickness of the bat was substantial enough to play a decent game, I went for these as they were 14mm thick which was a lot thicker than cheaper sets out there and nearer to the 15mm of the much more expensive carbon rackets. I ordered these and we have been really pleased, I wanted a set of 4 that came with a proper zip up structured bag rather than a drawstring thin bag, so this set got into my short list, I chose to order 2 sets that both had free returns , this set and a 7ply wooden set as I wanted to be able to see them in the flesh to make my final decision and would send the other set back. We decided that this set would be much better than the wooden set so sent the other one back.We have now played 5 evenings with this set. Packs away great into the bag, it has one strap for the bag so can be put on your shoulder when walking to the center. We use the orange balls as they are the indoor balls, we are so pleased with the quality of the bats and the balls and I would highly recommend this set to anyone wanting to play regularly

After coming back from a holiday where I was introduced to pickleball, I have been obsessed with this sport! Sadly there isn’t much popularity in the UK yet, but it’s certainly growing!I joined a local club which is great as I can use their equipment, but this kit means I now have my own paddles and balls, and a nice little bag so I can look more the part!The quality seems okay, I don’t know too much about the different types of paddles but I would assume this is very much a starter kit. The bag is great as you can fit both paddles and balls in, but there’s also more space and pockets for other items.I cant wait to play more and now I know how to set up a pickleball court, it means I can play with friends outside of the club as well.

Light rackets allow all age groups to play. Responsive and great to play with. More expensive than wooden rackets but worth the extra.

The bats seem fine but 1 ball split during the very first game we used it - it split along the seam and now totally useless
