Brilliant collaborative fun for the family
We love to play games in our house, from cards to complex strategy games to role-playing games; they're all on the list as far as we're concerned! As a family we have escaped from a few 'real-life' escape rooms, so I was interested to see how this would compare.Verdict?VERY well!I'll always big up collaborative games - if not just for the fact there's far less chance of squabbles! What I like about this is the opportunity for a 'relaxed' approach. If you want higher octane, you can play against the clock, as with most 'real life' escape rooms, but you don't have to.I'm not going to go into specifics as the whole point is one of exploration. The contents are paper/card based, so fits nicely with our eco ethos. Add in a mobile phone to scan QR codes, access videos and song lists and so on and you have a more interactive game than I expected. 18 puzzles, some harder than others - and up to you how you approach it. Well packaged and worth the money - even if, by nature, it's not a game you're likely to play over and over. (You can, of course, share it with others to get better value - maybe have friends buy different editions and pass them around...)Fab!

Escape
There are numerous companies trying to bring the popularity of escape rooms to your home, some do it well and others fail dramatically. This one has a lot to it, including video links for a more interactive experience. The puzzles are simplistic but fun and will appeal to a young family rather than one with teenage children in my opinion.Overall, I like these. They can be time consuming to get set up, and even harder to get your teenage children to want to join in. But once you have the experience is fun and rewarding

family fun with puzzling challenges
Took this game round to my sister’s house for a family get-together, and it was quite the hit. The youngsters, especially, loved the feeling of solving a museum mystery. We didn’t keep to the clock, just enjoyed the teamwork. The puzzles were clever, required a good amount of thinking without causing any meltdowns. The internet bits added a nice touch, making the whole experience a bit more immersive. It’s a good pick for a night in, something that gets everyone off their screens and into the moment, together.

Very basic game suitable for smaller children only
This is supposed to be a family game suitable for all ages. It's only suitable for smaller children - it's very very basic, the puzzles are boring and repetitive and there is nothing to challenge anyone who is older than primary school age. It is not an escape room as such, it's more a series of puzzles - yes they have to be completed in a specific order but there is no escape room story to speak of. Don't waste your money - there are plenty of better competitor games that are the same price or cheaper.

Interesting concept and good for family bonding
The media could not be loaded. This is outside my experience as I've never tried an escape room in real life but I like the mystery of it and the way you'll have to discuss and work through things together. The set comes in a sturdy attractive box and there's a QR code to introduce you to the game. The age range is claimed to be 9-99 so it's a great for family entertainment.I'm not sure though how often you'd repeat the game as there's quite a lot of setting up and staging to do before play begins. As a concept though I do like it.

Decoding fun in a museum
The Museum Themed Escape Room Game is more than just a game; it's an experience. With 18 intriguing puzzles, each more challenging than the last, the race against time adds to the excitement. The added touch of the pre-made playlist and videos elevates the game to another level of immersion. Perfect for those rainy days indoors or family gatherings.

Lots for the money
Note: I'm reviewing this prior to fully playing and completing the escape so I'll pop back and update if the end result is disappointing or broken in anyway. This escape room kit offers a great experience in a small box. Firstly it's well presented and easy to understand what to do to get started, with a 'read first' instruction booklet and a divider in the box with a message to not open until you've read the book and watched the intro video - yes, you need to use a smart device for this one, so be aware internet is needed for it.The instruction booklet helps to get you organised - you can even go to a website to download invitations to send to guests, there a QR code for a Spotify playlist for the right background music, and even a code to reprint some of the materials to reset the game afterwards if you deface or destroy some of the components. All of this is fantastic and not seen in many other escape room games, really shows the thought that's gone into it.The components in the box are all card or paper so nice and eco friendly. The card and print is all good quality and really well presented.Genuinely excited to complete this one with family.Only slight negative is that my set didn't come with the sheets of tracing paper listed in the contents - it's not needed from what I gather unless you want to play the game without defacing the components.

Escape room experience in your own home
Trying to recreate an escape room experience at home is not an easy task and I feel this is a great effort and is about as close as you are going to get without spending silly money. This kit contains a range of puzzles which should be entertaining for a range of ages. I would probably suggest there is at least one adult in the group when playing to help younger ones get past some of the challenges.Everything is presented well and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Although I would assume obvious, I do want to mention that the replayability of this is rather limited in case there is any question.

Game arrived unsealed
Haven’t played yet but the orange circle sticker was cut and the lid not sealed on. It seems unused and I think all of the pieces are there but it was clearly opened and retuned by someone else.

Too difficult
three smart 9-10 year olds and a one really dumb 59 year old gave up after the third (out of 18) puzzles.
