Das Gerät eignet sich sehr gut zum Nachschärfen und zur Erhaltung der Schärfe. Die Messer sollten eine gewisse Grundschärfe haben. Das Schärfen von stumpfen Messern ist mühsam.

I was looking for something to keep the edges of my woods tools sharp while out in the back country.. I have several larger systems in the shop but I really didn't want to take them to the field with me, so I got a couple of these. I am surprised how well these work. I hit an OLD knife and it edged it quite well. I am pleased to havee this in my BOB and EDC. I used to have a shop teacher that would always tell us to cut the sh_t, a knife sharpened with this isn't needed for that, just grab your not a buddy's butter knife and do that.

Okay. Thought it would sharpen better. Definitely can't get knives to cut paper or shaving sharp.
