Williams Sonoma Smart Thermometer 2, Silver

The physical thermometer works fine, but the software I downloaded on my iPad and iPhone does not. It won't synch up with the thermometer at all. The temperature is therefore displayed only on the unit.

As others have said, this product is a complete waste of money. Do not buy it! I got it for Christmas and anxiously set it up to smoke a turkey. The directions left out quite a few steps. Called WS and fortunately someone was there to help. She couldn’t get it to connect to my WiFi and provide a circuitous way around the problem. Onerous to say the least. Every time I’ve gone to use it it only worked for a short time. Today it wouldn’t connect at all. I give up. Not reliable. I would expect more from WS. I’m going to take it back and see if they will at least stand by their brand and give me a credit. Did I say DO NOT BUY?

Please check the internet everywhere. Out of the box directions are a joke and there are no trouble shooting files. The wifi does not work for +80% for users, including me. I have a tech background and if tried to configure it with a variety of security settings, MAC addresses, etc. It is a big WifI "ZERO" Don't buy it any price if you are trying to get a WiFi Thermometer. I have owned the product for a year and tried 20+ time. Also, there has been no customer support available both time I have tried to call. I just use it as a manual device, one that I could have purchased for $20, not WMs high price. Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't buy this and go somewhere else.

Not on your life! After spending over $100 for the original one a few years ago that looks just like this new one I was told mine will no longer connect as it’s obsolete. Fix is buy this newer one!! Are they kidding?

The app does not work for Android. It will start up, pair your device to wifi, then shut down when you try to log into WS. It becomes just an expensive display thermometer.

This thermometer is fantastic! I have been using it for a couple of years and would not think to use a different one. I especially like the app for my iPhone. I can set in my house and never wonder how close the meat is to being ready because I can set the target temperature, monitor the temperature of the meat while it is cooking, and know exactly when it is finished. I would especially like to recommend this product.

unbelievable that they make you sign into a WS account just to use this. Even when you do it will drop the connection right in the middle of grilling and when you try to log back in, says your login/password is incorrect. Tried changing the password, make sure I could log in from the computer and works fine, but this stupid app continues to have login failure. Great idea, POS app.
