Perfect for white heads!!!
Ok, hear me out, I literally finished using this product and ran to make a review, this is the first time I've done this! Sorry if there are grammatical mistakes, English is not my first language!First of all you have to use the product for around 3 minutes with some force in your skin so the texture you need shows up which are like little grains of salt stuck in it, I've always struggled with white heads in my chin and nose, the chin ones have always been a headache, I tend to rub them out with my face soap and my fingers to clean them out but it's never enough, I got this product to see if it could help since I saw it was an exfoliator basically and I've tried some kind of brushes before that didn't work.Anyways, this worked perfectly! It left my chin extremely smooth and I can't even see a single white head on it anymore, after using it I cleaned my face again with my soap and continued my skin care with my serums and moisturizer and my skin feels soooo soft. The texture does feel a little rough and CAN hurt a bit if you're too rough but I honestly appreciate the roughness, it took all that gunk out effortlessly! The package is also super super cute! I love the little octopus, the smell is a little weird, it's like herbal I guess? Salty? Oceany? Idk lol but it's not bad and it doesn't stay on the skin afterwards. Sorry for the super long review but I honestly 100% recommend giving it a chance if you're struggling with white heads like me, I've never had black heads so I don't know if this works for that but honestly after seeing how it took care of my white heads/prominent sebaceous filaments? I can say it could work perfectly for black heads as well!

Small
Got for my son to try in his nose. Seems to be working. It is cute but small. Will last for a little bit.

Super cute and It Works!
Such a good product. Love that you can focus on a small area such as just the nose. Easy to use, leaves skin super soft. My son and husband love it too! Gets those stubborn blackheads. Plus it's super cute!

Cute but Not Sure About Effective
I have some thoughts on this little guy. It's very cute. Unscrew the cap and you find a ball sitting on a base. It's smooth at first. Then you start to feel the grit of the salt as the top layer wears off. Now that's not a bad thing because the salt is the exfoliator. I'm not so sure what is seen on the ball after use is actually blackheads and whiteheads. I think it's just the salt crystals sticking out giving the illusion of gunk being removed. I think this says it's unscented but it's not. The scent is light and very pleasant. No problem with that. I do like the way my skin feels after I've used it and done the warm water rinse. I just use mine in the shower. I turn my back to the water stream to use and then rinse afterwards. I do think it's a little overpriced for what it is and how small it is. I see it as more of a novelty item. It's not a bad product. I just think it might be a bit overhyped.

Works as impressively as its cuteness is!!! Well worth the money!!
This is so worth the money spent!!! I was unsure what to expect and it has well exceeded my expectations. I have bragged to my friends and colleagues about this product bc of how great it works. This will remain a staple in my house so long as it is being sold. It is moisturizing and makes my skin so much softer. I don’t think there’s a better quality of product than this. You can see it working as you use it

Did not rise to expectations based on reviews
I am a big fan of TonyMoly lip stains, and so while looking for something in the way of a cleanser, serum or mask to deep clean my pores, I ran into this cute little Tako product. The reviews were so overwhelmingly positive, and focused on blackhead removal that it seemed this product was a sure thing. Not so for me. While cute, this little tako (and I emphasize, it is tiny, keychain-sized) did not magically pull out blackheads, nor did it do anything at all about the one stubborn whitehead (comedone) near my nose (how could it? Beware of products that claim to 'scrub' or pull away whiteheads, which are cystic. A whitehead is not the same as a pimple that has come to a head; it is too far buried under layers of cells to be affected in any way by topical products).Sadly, this product, which is basically very rough salt in a stick form, could not be expected to perform the miracles I read about. At best, as a (very harsh) exfoliator, it removed oily residue and surface dirt, cleaning just a bit from the tops of my pores. I expect that younger, more hormonal customers may experience temporary breakouts with this type of exfoliant; it is so rough that it might, with frequent use, continually stimulate more oil to rise to the surface of the skin.A big concern I have with very rough exfoliant products, containing coarse salt (as well as sometimes pieces of apricot kernel or walnut shell--beware these products!) is that the exfoliating agent very well might widen the opening of pores, even tearing the skin open at a level that might not at first seem evident, but soon enough, pores treated this way enlarge and coarsen. Had I understood that the salt was this coarse, I would not have purchased it. The only safe exfoliant I have found is made of very fine grains of salt, (usually combined with salycic acid or glycolic acid) that melt away while working on cleaning the pores. I have never found an OTC product that magically deep cleansed then tightened the pores to appear much smaller. That second step needs a sophisticated astringent, usually formulated by a cosmetic dermatologist, which is where I will turn for my next facial products.
