GRANTExpansion Vessel 12Ltr, Plastic, Round, CISTERN

I received this about 5:30 in the evening. Arriving home not long after I decided to fit it in the dark. My wife said how long will it take, so I said 15minutes. Now my 15 minutes usually mean 1 hour in my case. After I gathered the tools, mainly a lamp beause it was dark and a spanner, I set out to do the job, I started the job at 18:01 - by 18:10 I had fitted the tank, filled the system to 1 bar and was back indoors. So if you wonder if this is an issue to fit on a Grant External Boiler then the answer is no, it was simple. Literally one tool needed, a spannner.Happy as now my boiler is running well again. The issue was that the pressure was rising when the CH was on and water was coming out of the PRV when it got to 2.5 bar. When I pressed the valve on the expansion vessel water was coming out. Every day I was topping up the sealed system in the boiler, it was going to 0 bar after about 3 hours of CH running.Boiler now working as it should with minimal pressure increase in the system when CH on and hopefully tomorrow morning it will still be OK in time for the shower. I certainly expect so as no evidence of water loss at this point and boiler been running for 2 hours.This was not the same make as the original Zilmet expansion vessel but looked the same and was a direct replacement. I wish I had sorted this 2 years ago. It was also a good price when compared to the RRP and delivered very quickly.

Fitted one of these on my heating system when the one inside the boiler failed. To have the one in the boiler replaced would have cost 4 times as much. Shame it isn’t supplied with a mounting bracket otherwise would have got 5 stars.

I replaced the pressure vessel on my Warmflow US120HE system boiler with this Grant one and with a little bit of messing changed the bracket from the old one to the new one, it fitted perfectly. So happy bunny and about £30.00 cheaper!

Unfortunately this was over four days late on arriving so had to purchase another one to get job done so this item is being returned

We replaced the pressure vessel on my Grant boiler. Happy as now my boiler is running well again. Didn't take long to replace about 10 minutes.
