A touch of light oil makes it perfect.
A really easy and useful upgrade to the Ender 3, although like (Reviews by me?) from Canada said, it didn’t roll very well when I first got it, but a touch of sewing machine oil sorted that out, and it now spins with the filament drum really easily, sewing machine oil is a very light oil that doesn’t leave any residual when it dries out, unlike say “3 in one” type of product.

Literally the OG
This is awesome! Bearings work great! And its incredibly sturdy. It fits the OG stand on the Ender V3. I used this stand snd the old spool holder on my other printer with no hanger. Holds 1kg spool like a champ! 5 stars in my book

No Instructions
The install was confusing & there are no instructions. On top of that, the images are misleading and incorrect. They show the entire assembly on 1 side of the metal. You need to take the cap off and lock it in on the other side. The top cap comes off by rotating it towards the end of the device (so that the cap is flush with the metal pieces), at which point you can pull it off. There are locking grooves that you can't see while the piece is still assembled, so I've included a pic since the seller didn't think it was necessary 🙄

Barely even rolls
I bought this for my ender 3 v2 neo, the force of the extruder doesn't or barely moves the bearing. Most of the time the filament rolls itself. I guess it could work better if you have tight filament on your roll but mine barely ever needs to rotate.

Bearings bind and will not roll properly - Poorly designed and does not work as intended
After reading other reviews about the bearings not rolling, I hoped that I could simple oil and break them in to get them working smoothly. Unfortunately, the way this item is manufactured damages the inner race of both bearings by peening them to press fit the central rod. This deforms the race, and ruins the bearing. Bearings like this also are not designed to support a load transverse to the rotational axis like these do with nothing supporting the length of the steel rod except the inner races of the two bearings.I tried oiling and breaking them in for several thousand revolutions on a drill chuck, and although they loosened slightly, they would still bind halfway through a revolution and become completely ineffective. It was ultimately worse than the original holder. I would not recommend this product. Instead, buy two 608Z bearings for a couple of dollars and print one of the many roller designs available for free.
