Oval Frame Has Misplaced Hanger!
Just received these hoops from Cfox and they seem like they will work fine, two of them came perfect, the oval one came with the mounting piece not quite right! (See first Photo of oval hanging, the other two are fine) Am I suppose to hang my work at this angle? I think not! Disappointed with this, this oval frame should have been taken out of the package upon inspection and replaced!* I am revising this review after getting a prompt and helpful resolve to this problem! The outer frame is bendable so you can easily adjust where the hanger needs to be! 4th photo the easily fixed frame! Thank you Catherine

A little smaller than measurements listed and stains fabric
These are really nice and sturdy faux wood hoops, however I wasn't able to frame the specific piece I needed to with the oval frame because of weird measurements on this listing. I had an oval cross stitch piece that measured in at 5"×7" and I thought the oval hoops would give me a little bit of room to spare, so I ordered this set. Alas, I believe the measurement are taken on the OUTSIDE of the hoops and not the inner white part. My piece wasn't able to work because it was too big for the hoop. Sad face. I'm sure I'll have no problem finding other pieces for these frames, or use them in the future, I just wanted potential buyers to know how the measurements work on these hoops.Biggest thing I wanted buyers to know is that the faux wood can potentially stain/ruin whatever they're framing. When trying to center my cross stitch piece in the round frame, the paint or dye or what have you rubbed off on the fabric and left a very visible mark/stain on it. After spending countless hours on a piece, the last thing I want is to have some stain from the frame on it. I'll definitely be sticking to wood hoops from now on.Yes, these look nice and are sturdy, but the negative aspects of these hoops outnumber the positive. Won't be buying again.

BUY THESE HOOPS BC THEY ARE LIFE
When I came across these hoops I knew I needed them in my life, but it wasn’t until they finally arrived that I realized how MUCH I needed them. They are a billionnn time’s easier than using a cheapie wooden hoop! I can adjust my fabric in them like 20 times faster than I can with any other hoop. They actually have a teensy bit of weight to them that makes them feel more important as well! Yet, not enough weight to hurt your hands when embroidering at any rate!! They are the perfect weight! They feel a bit luxurious compared to the cheapie hoops I’ve used in the past! And I can’t forget about the super adorable antique looking metal piece at the top! It makes my hoops look extra fancy! These are very well made! I will be buying again soon!!

Lindos y socados

Attractive but Difficult to use
These frames are attractive, but they are very difficult to get the fabric in. The wood look outer rim is made of a soft plastic or rubbery material. It takes multiple attempts to get it over the fabric and if the fabric isn’t straight the first time, you have to start all over again. Theses frames are not adjustable like a normal cross stitch frame. Even though I like the look, I wouldn’t get them again due to the difficulty of use.

Flexible and aesthetic
I really like these hoops, especially the color and aesthetic of them. They feel way better and smoother than wood hoops. Theyr also fairly easy to use. They outer wood ring is flexible, so you separate that and the white inside ring, place the fabric over one ring, and reassemble. You may need to pull on the extra fabric to tighten it to your liking.

Better than I expected!
Full disclosure: I am not a fan of hoops, there, I said it. Now that that's out of the way I did purchase a set of these and I used the oval as a frame for a piece I stitched for a friend as a gift. And these may have changed my mind about hoops! My friend even commented about how cool the hoop looked, so that's a win.I will definitely consider these hoops again in the future when I want to use them as frames--especially the oval!

They work and look nice for displaying needle work.
They were a strong seal but not to strong when placing the crewel work inside to hang and display. It gives a quick and finished look. I had this finished piece for almost 20 years sitting in a drawer my Grandma made it right be more she past. I kept meaning to have it framed which I still probably will but until then it is on display for all to see her beautiful work.
