Body Armor 4x4 TJ-2994Black Standard Design Rear Bumper for Jeep 1987-1996 YJ and 1997-2006 TJ

Took a friend and I to hold the bumper into place and insert the bolts into their holes, and all of about 5 minutes to install. One thing I noticed is that the top of the metal latching post (for the tire swing) is too close to the OEM license plate holder. However it doesn't rub it, it is just too close to use the tire swing latch that they give you, the way it was given to you. I just took the silver "U" shaped latch and cut the top leg off and bent the bottom leg slightly down to just use one latching bar. Works great now after simple modification. I also drilled a hole in the red latch handle at the end and bolted in a strap with a metal key latch.( basically like a leash you would attach to your dog's collar) And wrapped it around the lowest square tubing of the metal Tire swing. This way I know it is secure traveling down the road. Good material. Very close, tight fit.

Havent had the chance to try it put, looks solid, and its heavy. I am pretty upset that it doesnt have instructions given theres a bag with 50 pieces in it. Not aure how in the world it goes together but im going to have to figure it out myself.

Solid construction. Unfortunately, it is shipped without instructions, the instructions on the website do not match the hardware on the product, and the help number is not toll free.I will add that, contrary to other reviews, I did not have to drill to attach it to my 2003 Jeep Rubicon. The installation was fairly easy, once we figured out how to put it on.Update: the swinging tire carrier for this bumper does not fit correctly and is poorly made.

this bumper is very well built an looks really good. the powder coating on it is really durable and the tecture coatin looks cool

Wasn't expecting to need a drill to alter my frame because of 1/4 in difference in their holes for the scrappy designed nut plate, which likes to randomly fall out of its slot in the inside of the bumper during installation, causing you to have to take it back off to fix the stupid things. Also, if you have a Exo-cage roof rack.. The bolts they give you will only grab by 1or2 threads

great bumper, not very good instructions............that's why i gave it a 3 stars, i had 2 call the manufacture in l.a......they don't tell you witch way the gasket goes in!!!!!!!!!

I have this on my 2012 JK. I have the swing out tire carrier, jerry can mounts and HiLift jack mount on it. Awesome value for the money and looks great!!!
