Overall this is a good electric knife set. The motor is quiet and strong. The 2 battery packs seem to hold a charge and recharge nicely. I love the carry/storage case. Very well made. The set comes with 4 sets of blades. Bluegill to salmon you should be able to fillet them all with this setup. Unfortunately my set had 2 sets that will not cut well. One is plain dull, so much so that excessive force is needed to even break a fish’s skin and scales. It will not separate fillets from skin. The worst offender is the 7” finesse blade. Didn’t want to cut and because of excessive blade tolerance filled up with fish matter and would gum up and bog down.I contacted Kastking customer service and they offered to help with this problem. They took care of me by offering me a refund or a gift card to their website. I chose the card and got a smaller knife set to replace the blades. Of course I had to spend more money on other things because of a shopping weakness I have but I am happy with the end result of my interaction with CS.

Husband loves this knife! The sizes it comes with have been good for all our MN lake fish. Makes cleaning fish quick and easy. It’s a great quality knife, easy to grip, lightweight enough to be easy to use, and so fast! Value for the money is excellent!

Blades included don't work well because they are too aggressively serrated. Mister twister blades are more scalloped and fit perfectly, plus i have a bunch on hand. Time will tell how durable this fillet knife will be but so far, it's been working great and the battery life is decent enough. I started using this knife to clean fish at the launch to avoid disposing of fish carcasses at home. For the price, it's a keeper.

Great electric fillet knife that should be in every fisherman's arsenal. Let's start with the ergonomic case that is super slick and filled with foam shaped to hold the knife body and its blades, battery and charger. The case is super slim which makes it very convenient to carry. I bought the knife version with two blades and they are perfect size to fillet both smaller and larger fishes. I even tested the knife on a roast beef during holidays and it cut extremely easy and precisely. I was impressed as meat is tougher to cut than fish. The knife body feels light even with the battery plugged in. Battery has a convenient charge level indicator at the bottom so you can check when it needs to be recharged. Blades are sharp and easy to change. I recommend adding the blades before adding the battery so you don't risk to accidentally start the knife as you are placing the blades in it. As an avid fisherman I have to say this fillet knife is a must have. Cut my filleting time in half if not less. If you are thinking of getting one go ahead I don't think you will be disappointed.
