Excellent Aquarium lights! I use these for my vivariums & they work spectacularly. I did a lot of research before buying these lights & the hygger brand was highly recommended & I can see why. They have many customization options, & my favorite is the DIY cycle so you can set brightness/color/time for the entire day. The only gripe I have (which is a common gripe I read online) is that the instructions are confusing & it can be hard to set up until you figure out what to do. But once I knew how to operate the lights they have been great & my plants are thriving. I definitely recommend these lights for an aquarium/vivarium setup.

This Hygger LED aquarium light is perfect for smaller tanks. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the dimmable settings make it easy to get just the right look. I love the auto on/off feature—it keeps the lighting schedule consistent without any effort. The build quality feels solid, and the adjustable brackets fit my tank perfectly. A great value for a full-spectrum light that makes both fish and plants look fantastic!

Programming it can be difficult. The read out is-small but that can be ok with glasses. However, when I press the buttons it doesn't always respond. Then sometimes it goes to another aspect it shouldn't. I went online and read and re-read directions. Maybe my light is-wonky. I don't know. I just put it on the-24hr auto and leave it be....and pray there's no power outage..... ;)

Given some of the reviews, I expected the setup to be more tedious than it was. The interface and build quality are really good, especially at this price for a small tank. Programming the basics is pretty straight forward and I think the few extra it cost for this light and interface is well worth it over a simple timer button on a power cord. If it does lose memory when unplugged, setting the time is very quick and the default light cycle with a slow turn on is much better than hooking up a light to a smart plug for me. The rails that the light sits on are pretty tight, but I still wrapped the desired points with some tape to prevent it closing over time. With the light quality and price, any concerns over it resetting could be fixed with cheap UPS if it is an issue.

This light is really bright and the plants in the tank love it. It also has the perfect form factor to clip into our aquarium lid. Unfortunately the design of the light makes it utterly useless. You can't control it with a simple switch or smart outlet. It has a built-in programmable timer. The timer completely resets on power loss. The buttons are inaccessible when clipped into the aquarium lid. Condensation pushes the "buttons". If you un-plug it and plug it back in sometimes it's "on" and sometimes it's "off". Usually off. Unless you're going to leave the top of your tank open and drape this across the top, you can't use this light.
