Okay but would use a bug spray as well as the cream!
Bought this bug cream for a holiday in Thailand and Malaysia, from what I can tell it was effective, didn’t really get bitten. It’s very sticky when you apply it, opposed to more of a cream consistency. It was easier to apply when it got hot as the consistency became more runny. The smell wasn’t overpowering like some bug creams, couldn’t say it had a great smell, but it wasn’t a strong smell either. The cream ended up running out quickly, would recommend maybe using a bug spray generally and this cream when going to areas you know you will need bug cream/spray and need it to last longer than bug spray.

Good protection
We used this when travelling around South America and South East Asia. Great protection, better than a spray. We didn't get any bug bites. Smell is not unpleasant like many other repellents

Seemed to work...
Took a tube of this to Siem Riep in Cambodia, and used it on exposed arms/ankles, whenever I knew I'd be outside at dusk/night or in rural areas. I also used a citronella spray, body wash and deodorant day and night. I suffered no insect bites in 10 days, but to be honest, very few of our large group were bitten, so can't say I've proved the effectiveness of either the Ultrathon or citronella.Pros: Had more confidence in the Ultrathon than the citronella products.. for no logical reason. Virtually no smell, applies like a factor 50 suncream, with no waste, or danger of breathing-in spray. Citronella spray had much a stronger, but not wholly unpleasant, lemony smell.Cons: Found myself reaching for the citronella spray more often, as it was quicker and easier to apply, especially in hard-to-reach areas like my back. The citronella spray contained no DEET, so I had no qualms about spraying near shoes/clothes. On one occasion, I did find the Ultrathon stung my slightly sunburnt face, so washed it off immediately.

Protection that works for me
I ordered this product to repel insects in the countryside around Mycenae in Greece. On a previous visit they had been very troublesome, but this time, they left me alone and I escaped bite free. I have used this product before in Africa where it kept biting horse flies at bay. I wouldn't like to be without it.

Good for repelling ticks
My husband manages to pick up ticks very easily but this really seems to work. A bit expensive but worth it

Was advices by instructions not for my use
I bought it for indoor use under clothing but the instructions said not to use under clothing and not for indoor use.

The best mozzy repellent ever - although it is VERY strong ...
The best mozzy repellent ever - although it is VERY strong - be careful what you touch after you ahev it on - plastics tend to be damaged by the liquid.But it is the best repellent - not one bite on those areas that I covered up - and this was in Thailand both in the cities and in the jungle areas too.

The Best Insect Repellent I Have Found
I love this insect repellent. I go to Thailand twice a year for three months at a time and used to get bitten terribly by the dreaded mossies. Not a single bite when using this! It's a little greasy, but I find it moisturises my skin as well as protecting it from bites.Would definitely recommend.
