I needed a clear acrylic sheet for a DIY home project — replacing a cracked glass panel in a small greenhouse — and this Pixly® Perspex sheet turned out to be absolutely ideal. The quality is excellent, and it’s genuinely one of the clearest, most professional-looking acrylic sheets I’ve worked with.First things first, it arrived very well packaged. The sheet was protected with a double-sided film that prevented scratches during transport, and it peeled off easily without leaving any sticky residue behind. The actual surface underneath was perfectly smooth, clear, and free of any warping or blemishes.The 4mm thickness gives it just the right balance between sturdiness and flexibility. It doesn’t crack or flex too much under pressure, yet it’s still light enough to handle and mount with ease. It’s far safer than glass for many applications and looks just as good once in place. I’ve used it now as a window panel, but I’m already thinking of buying another for a custom picture frame or shelving insert.Cutting it was straightforward too. I used a basic scoring tool and a steady hand, and it snapped cleanly along the score line without chipping. You could also use a jigsaw or fine-tooth blade if you needed curved edges or more precise shapes.Clarity is superb. It’s crystal clear with no visible distortion when you look through it — so it works perfectly in situations where you want a clean glass-like finish. It also wipes clean easily with a microfibre cloth and hasn’t scratched from light use, which is a big plus in any high-traffic area.The listing includes a variety of size and thickness options, so you can choose what suits your needs — and honestly, for the price, it’s great value. Far cheaper than actual glass and much safer too, especially if you’re working around kids or in the garden.Only tiny thing I’d mention is that when cutting, it’s best to go slowly and not rush — it’s strong, but like all acrylic, can chip if you’re heavy-handed.All in all, the Pixly® acrylic sheet is a fantastic option for anyone doing DIY, repairs, or crafting projects. I used it to heat melt into shape to strengthen another project before skimming with fiberglass, and for that it worked fine.I did however JUST try some plastic polish remover on it as a test for a turntable top and was horrorfied at the clarity of this acrylic sheet. It was covered in machine lines and bubbles. See picsIf you are looking for a product with clarity, this might not be for you.

The material is good thickness and very clear, using it in a frame as a window from a barn.

Bought this to cover a small aquarium. Easy to cut. Didn’t split or crack. I used a cordless jigsaw. Stops so much evaporation.
