Game Changer! Smooth Skin That Actually Lasts
I was honestly a little scared to try an epilator for the first time. I had always shaved, but I was getting tired of how quickly the hair would grow back sometimes in just a day or two. I wanted something that was better for my skin and would last longer, so after seeing a lot of positive reviews about the Philips Epilator Series 8000, I decided to go for it.At first, it was a little painful, especially on more sensitive areas like the underarms. But I had already read that it would get easier, and it’s true after a few passes, I got used to it. The device is easy to handle, and I love that it comes with different attachments, which made the whole experience more comfortable.I used it on my underarms and legs, and I was genuinely shocked at how smooth my skin felt afterward. It’s been several days and there’s still no hair, which is something I’ve never experienced with shaving. I also didn’t get the usual irritation or razor bumps, which is a big win for me.What I loved:Hair-free for days (no stubble the next morning!)Less skin irritation than shavingOnce you get used to it, it’s quick and easyFeels like an investment for long-term resultsWhat to expect:It can sting a bit the first few times, but it’s tolerableWorks best on hair that’s not super short or super longUse it after a shower and exfoliate first, it helps!Final Thoughts:This epilator completely changed my hair removal routine. I never thought I’d find a product that gives me smooth skin for this long without the hassle of daily shaving. I 1000% recommend it for anyone tired of shaving or looking for a better long-term solution. It’s officially part of my routine forever!

By Far the Best Epilator I've Ever Used
I'm 64 years old. I remember the first electric epilator, a gadget with a coiled spring that rotated. It was by far the most painful epilator I've ever used, leaving my legs red and feeling like they were on fire! Fast forward 40 years, and you have the epilators with fast moving tweezing mechanisms. These are light-years ahead of that first epilady. I've owned several brands, including (but not limited to) Remington, Emjoi, and several unknowns. I chose the Philips based on brand reputation and price.Firstly, this isn't made for the face. I have a Remington that I use for my face. I've used this, and others, on my arms, legs, and recently, my armpits.Look ladies, yanking out hair by the roots hurts. There is no such thing as a painless epilator. But, some are much better than others. The Philip's is by far the least painful that I've used. I think it may lay in tweezer design. The Philip's epilator is much better at pulling out the hair, rather than breaking it off. As odd as it sounds, it's a lot less painful to get the hair out by the root than breaking it off.I've just used it for the second time on my armpits, something I was hesitant to to. I've had 2 rotator cuff surgeries on each shoulder (4 surgeries in 2 years), so lifting my arms up high is an issue for me. Add in the fact that I have folds, and it seemed like a recipe for getting a painful pinch. But, to my surprise, the Philip's epilator did a magnificent job, taking 1/2 the time it takes me to use an electric shaver, with superior results. The shaver never got all of the hair. The Philip's does. With my shoulders being so painful, and other problems, including a plate in my back and in my neck, shaving is a painful chore that I hate and Unfortunately, I have a lot of hair. The Philip's epilator gets the hairs out by the roots, without having to go over and over the area. It's effective in 1 swipe, but I overlap by 1/2. On a pain scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst pain you can experience, I'd rate it at 2-2.5. Surprisingly, it's least painful in my armpits. If you can make your skin taut, you hardly feel it. Battery longevity is really good. I can use it on both arms, both legs, both armpits, 4-5x before recharging. Charging is fast. It'll recharge in just 30-45 minutes from almost depleted. I don't let it entirely stop. You'll notice a slow-down. Recharge it then.I've been using the Philip's since early October, 2024. Unfortunately, someone threw out a box that it was in, so I reordered. I didn't hesitate to order the Philip's again, even though I could have chosen a different brand.

Even works for guys in limited circumstances
Bought this to remove hair in some spot areas. Like (apparently) all epilators these are advertised only for women, likely because men (and I'm sure trangender women) tend to have much coarser & thicker body hair.So the main thing I wanted it for was to remove hair from the backs of my hands and the tops of my feet and it works great there. The first time you use it it's decently painful but follow up treatment 4 weeks later was barely painful at all.I also used it to remove the hair from my wrist where I wear my watch and it works pretty well there but again it's painful especially the first time.I also found it's great to remove stray hairs following a waxing session on my chest. Since it's only getting sparse hairs it's barely painful at all.I have thin and somewhat sparse hair on my upper arms and shoulders it works pretty well there but is somewhat awkward to use there. One warning though, I let my curiosity get the better of me and tried going after the beard hair on my upper neck and holy hell was that painful. Not only that but it quickly bogged down the motor. It's definitely not going to work on beard hair but I can't really fault that since it's not designed for it.I tried the flat skin attachment and maybe I was using it wrong but it didn't seem to work at all.
