Unlike the cheap, flimsy dumpling/empanada makers which seem to be the only option widely available, these are a cut above. They are make of a hard type of plastic that feels much sturdier than the others. They don't feel like they will fall apart after just a little use.The set has three sizes of hinged makers that will allow you to make dumplings, pot sticker, ravioli, and full sized empanadas. It also comes with three stainless steel metal rings for forming the fillings, AND a steel spreader/smoother is part of the set.All of this gear prompted me to think of things to make, and I made a few empanadas using ingredients I had on hand. They came out perfectly-the outer edge tightly crimped with no effort.These are really the best makers I've used.
