MaxMark Dater 4000 Self Inking Date Stamp - Purple

The stamp seems ok but the box was open and bent out of shape. There were no instructions included. I think this was a return someone may have made that wasn’t repackaged properly?

I bought this for my small business and so far, it has done exactly what it's meant to do. The stamped dates are clean and clear. I'd definitely advise stamping a few times on a piece it's scrap paper or something before using on documents if you haven't used it in a few days. 8/10 stars for ease of use (you're probable going to get ink on your fingers the first few uses) 9/10 stars for legibility of the stamping 8/10 for ease of aligning where the stamp will go. It takes a little while to figure out where the stamp's going to land. Overall I'd call it a solid 8-8.5 of 10 star item and will definitely buy another one if this one ever stops working for any reason

I would have given this date stamp a five-star rating, but I deducted one star because the font used for the two-digit day is different from the font used for the year. The inconsistency stands out to me and affects the overall appearance. It still works well, but I would have preferred a consistent font throughout.

I bought this in March of 2024 and the years on this go from 2022-2033. I’m a bit bummed that I lost two years on this thing from the day that I bought it. I realize that production and things make it hard to anticipate, but I wanted to make it clear what years are available on it. The stamp itself was pretty scratched up on the outside of the black part. I don’t think I got a used one, it seems as though production of the item doesn’t stress at all if it gets slid on a scratchy surface or whatever. So it came out of the box looking pretty ugly. The stamp works fine enough. Due to how it works, the part that goes up and down with the stamp on it does protrude from the stamp during the stamping process which is a bit hard to get used to.

Once you get it set, the stamper works well but... To turn the wheels to set the date, you have to push the bottom end in and try to hold it with one hand while moving the somewhat stiff wheels with the other hand The spinners are thin and jagged. They're jagged to make it easier to spin them, but it makes it harder on fingers. I've used traditional date stampers many times and it was never this difficult to turn the wheels to change the date. Maybe it's because it's new, but it's a nuisance because the extra pressure and fiddling put ink on my fingers. Once you use it a few times, it might get easier to switch dates, but new out of the box it's somewhat awkward. Outside of switching dates, the stamper works fine. The date impression is clear.
