Loved it. And the price is perfect. Every other site is overpriced.

I’m very disappointed in the metal as well, it looks to me like someone put on a pattern and then simply spray painted it, there is no etching in the metal, has rough edges, and sharp edges, the stain on the wood is splotchy at best!!, looks like I have two choices1 send it back or 2 completely sand, stain and rung oil it, as far as the metal I will have to sand it all way to bare steel and then blue it, would not purchase this hatchet again!!!

This is so dangerous! The hatchet head became loose and flew off during a swing. It had barely been used. I have used an adhesive to secure it to the handle but am watching very carefully if it loosens again.

This is definitely not a toy - the blade is sharp and could potentially hurt little fingers. It looks and feels realistic, has a nice cover for the double axe head, but don't try using it as an axe!! It will break off the handle or make the axe head loose. It would be a great realistic axe to use for cosplay - as long as the user was mature and realized it could be dangerous.

I was surprised to find that this Axe is NOT a costume-grade recreation, but a heavy-duty tool!The blade is sharp and heavy, and I love the included custom sheath.The handle is a little light, and could use a pommel/counterweight as the balance is thrown off by the axe head.The head on the one I received was also a little loose, but that can easily be rectified with a nail or two.Great little gift for collectors of usable Viking/medieval weaponry.
