I’ve had the opportunity to use the LifeStraw travel water bottle go series, double wall, stainless steel in Iceland blue (cute color) in a variety of situations, and overall, I’m very impressed. During my travels, I filled it with airport water, tap water, bottled & refrigerator stream water without any issues. I also added sliced lemons to the bottle, and it handled them just fine without affecting the filtration or usability. It's about the same size as my 36 ounce stainless steel cup I use at home, see sizing for scale.One standout experience was using it during and after a hurricane when most people avoided drinking the local water. The LifeStraw bottle gave me peace of mind knowing I was drinking filtered, safe water. It’s durable, didn’t leak during my trips, and consistently provided clean water that tasted just fine.The only minor downside is the process of drinking—it feels a little odd to suck water through the straw, especially in public, as it can be a bit noisy. But this is a small tradeoff for the safety and convenience it provides.If you’re looking for a reliable travel water bottle, this is a solid choice. I loved taking it along a 15 day trip to Japan. I never had to question if the water (even bought bottle water) would taste strange. Putting water through the life straw always guaranteed me great tasting water and safe water every time.The problem was when I would run out of water in the Lifestraw. The temperature in Japan was so warm the only time I was dissappointed was when I ran out of water. The liter size bottle was not enough! Loved the product! It was worth the higher expense. It was taxing lugging around an extra load and bulk around in my sling pack. But it was sure wonderful when I was so thirsty (and that was often) and the ice water cooled me down in the heat. It’s going with me on every future trip from now on.

UPDATE 4.12.25: Initially I gave this 5 stars. But after owning it for 1 month it began to leak today. I find this unacceptable due to the price of the bottle.This is an excellent bottle when you need clean water.Be aware that due to the filtration system that it can require a little more sucking power than the typical straw you find at a fast food restaurant. But this is meant to deliver cleaner water in situations where there may not be any.I wanted it for an everyday water bottle that I could use when the water was bad and when it was good. I currently have a PUR water filter on my faucet. So I remove the filter, fill it with filtered water and use it as a daily drinking bottle. I stored the filter in a ziplock bag (if you use the filter allow several days for it to dry out before storing it) and use the bottle as a daily drinking bottle. Then when I’m going off the grid, I simply install the filter.

My family loves them. I have kids and they prefer these water bottles because it improves the taste. I hate having to replace them when they get left on the bus or lost at school because they are expensive. I end up giving up my water bottle for them. They aren’t that heavy but I wouldn’t plan on getting the larger size if you are concerned about the weight. They are durable and can handle some falls.

Bought this to take overseas. Worked very well. Would recommend it to others.
