Pavis - Abdominal Binder, Postpartum Post-Operative Post-Surgery Wrap, 24cm, Umbilical Hernia Support Belt for Men and Women (White, Small)

I'm in the process of losing some baby weight and so I wasn't sure which size to order, as I'm on the border of two sizes and I'm very pear shaped, so my waist is smaller than my hips. I opted for a large, but it was too big, so I contacted the seller and asked if I could change it for a medium. They agreed straight away, were efficient and courteous, and made the return really easy. They even paid for it! The new product arrived within a week and is a much better fit. To be honest, I could probably have even got away with a small. I'm around a size 12 if that helps anyone.The product itself is well packaged and good quality. I'm impressed with how sturdy it is. I'd previously ordered one from another seller, for a similar price, and the quality of this one is far superior. I like that it has a little pocket to put your hand in, as this makes stretching it before fastening much easier. The two part band allows for a more custom fit and it's comfortable to wear. I would prefer it to be slightly wider, so as to come up higher on my torso, but that's personal preference and I do have quite a long torso. It's slightly boned at the back, to maintain and support your posture, but I do find that the front bends a little at the top when sitting. The velcro seems quite strong however, and it does seem to stay in place.Overall, I'd recommend this product. I bought it on the advice of my physiotherapist, to help with the back pain caused by diastasis recti following pregnancy. Time will tell as to how effective it is, but I'm impressed thus far. The product is of good quality and the customer service is excellent.

I am very pleased with this 24cm (9.5 inches) wide binder which helps me cope with an incisional hernia.I can thoroughly recommend this Orthotix/Pavis binder and I will probably buy another for when the first one is being washed.I noticed that some negative reviews on similar products stated that the sizing for the waist was on the small side. This is probably because the waist was measured in the wrong place (i.e. too low).For the benefit of other prospective purchasers, this is how to measure your waist:1. Find the bottom of your ribs and the top of your hips.2. Wrap a tape measure around your waist, midway between these points.3. Breathe out naturally before taking the measurement.

it;s good but does curl up at the edges just where they velcro is placed.

This product is fantastic quality. I really like the little pocket on the one side which helps you to close it without the help of somebody else. I bought this for after a tummy-tuck as I didn’t like the binder given to me by the hospital - this binder isn’t quite long enough if you have a particularly low wound as it does rub on the incision site, I have used some padding to protect my scar and works perfectly. The structure of the binder offers lots of support and helps me to feel comfortable when walking.

This is one to replace the same one I was given after hernia opp ,so I can wash first as have to wear for over six weeks

I liked that it works for my back pain when I get it, I tend to wear it for extra support

Be aware when ordering this item. The sizes quoted as 'waist' measurements are really 'pelvis circumference' so first order was too small. Second order is great.
