I decided to buy another slow cooker after becoming disillusioned with the lack of flavour my pressure cooker was delivering.Flavour wise our first effort at a beef stew was excellent but I'm disappointed with the cooking time required.5 hours seemed to be the average time on HIGH for a stew, but after 5 1/2 hours the potatoes and carrots in mine were definitely al-dente.As I speak the remainder has had another 90 nminutes on high and the potatoes are still holding out.On reading the spec it appears that this pot only has 240w of power compred to a minimum of 300w I found in comparable models.Avoid.
