I bought a cheaper one first, not UL listed. The lower ground post broke off the plug within a week and it would stay plugged in. So I tried this brand. It works perfectly, and so I bought 2 more in different lengths and colors. I use these to connect my generator to a charger for my large lithium batteries, plus a heating pad. I also have one connected to a larger generator when I need more power. I usually rely on solar power (I'm completely off the grid), but sunshine is very limited here in my forest home in the winter. These cords are great and I trust them. I definitely don't want a fire starting in my power shed. Please don't buy the cheaper ones, these are not that much more and are worth it.

Seriously, this is a fantastic extension cord. It’s heavy duty, flexible and honestly it feels like a high quality item. Is it cheap? Nope. But if you need a 10 gauge extension cable it’s totally worth it. Feels like it will hold up for years. Lighted ends are a plus as well. I need help - I genuinely like this dang cable! 😁😁

I like using this extension cord. I use it connected to my car battery trickle charger to help keep my older car that I don't drive often from dying. I like that it is not too stiff. Every time I'm finished with it I can wind it up to organize it. It is heavy though, so it will not roll up as easily as other cables. It takes some time and some muscle to get it nice and neat. I like the it is stiff enough so that it doesn't ball up and get kinked like other extension cables. It has a convenient end that lights up. When I go outside I know that the cable is connected to the wall outlet and is ready to be used. Helps a lot rather than running back inside to see what is wrong. That's a great time saver! I use it outside mostly so it is nice to know that it is heavy duty. I like that it is yellow. It is easy to see in case it's in the way of where you walk. I'm glad that there was an option for a 40ft one. 10ft more and it would have cost more than what I was willing to pay. All the other 50ft ones listed at the time that I needed to buy one were out of my budget.Cons: Since it is a heavy cable, it can droop connected to a wall outlet. I remedy this by wrapping the end cable around a sturdy object so that the cable stays in placeI wish that the male connector was a right/left/rotating angle, so that it stays in securely connected.

I got this cord to plug in the refrigerator. Our kitchen only has 2 plug ins. One on each side of the door going outside, which is clear across the room from where the refrigerator has to go, because there isn't anywhere else for it to go.I was using a cord off of a generator, but after 20 years, it finally died. I have looked for a replacement cord, for a few years now, because I knew the old cord was going, but the prices were outrageous.I found this cord and decided to give it a try, the price was great and the reviews were good. I am so glad I got it. It is a very nice heavy duty cord that is more than strong enough to run the fridge.I will buy again, I need one for the freezer.

I bought this because the ad stated it was UL approved. Not sure it actually is but it seems to be a well made extension cord. I would purchase it again.
