Thin, light, feels very good in the hand.
I'm sure Amazon can tell I'm trying a bunch of cases by now. Of all the ones I've ordered, this is my favorite by far. It's thin, lightweight, yet still feels protective. The texturing on the sides is very reassuring in terms of how much grip it adds. And as someone not using a Pixelsnap/Magsafe mount, I also like that the back is thin enough that I can use it with my current (some would say outdated) magnetic mounts. And price-wise it's a very good value, especially when you see how much some companies want for a case.

Great Grip
In case (pun intended) you do not wish to read my drunken essay about how much I love this case, just read this: For $15, JUST BUY THIS CASE! I almost never review things, let alone so thoroughly, but for those who wish to read on about every little detail please stick around. I was uncertain about this case before I received it. After buying this highly textured case I was left feeling like it might be too rough and uncomfortable to hold. I was half expecting it to be like holding a brick wrapped in sandpaper or skateboard grip. So trust me when I say I am so glad to discover my concerns were unfounded. The backing feels surprisingly soft and smooth while still having a texture that provides more grip than the typical smooth backing on phone cases. Additionally the backing, so far, has been free of smudges as they claim, if that is a concern for you. As for where the grip really matters, the sides. The sides are more rough than the backing but with a simple dotted pattern you get a nice tactile (and still surprisingly soft and gentle) feel that provides superb grip preventing slips even with sweaty hands during a workout. The top and bottom, as well as the Pixel's unique camera visor, all have a smooth finish which adds to the style of the case while also demonstrating the quality of the material used. The smooth top and bottom still provide decent grip while feeling oh so comfortable, perfect for viewing in landscape mode where usually less grip is needed. The cutouts are excellent with plenty of room for various sizes of chargers and no worries of speaker or microphone muffling. The Antenna cutout on top is perfect as well and I've experienced no interference from the case at all. The buttons remain nice and clicky while in this case and are easy enough to distinguish with a second of feeling around in your pocket. Finally I'd like to make note of the branding as this is something I highly appreciate. In a world where case manufacturers love to plaster their branding across the back of your case for free advertising, these guys took a minimalist approach, leaving it on the side of the case near the lower right corner, in small text: Ringke Onyx. It is virtually unnoticeable, for those not wishing to have tacky branding plastered on everything they own, while still adding a hint of unique style, perfect for minimalists. With the branding being on the sides where maximum grip is expected, fear not as it is still surrounded by plenty of surface area with textured dots, resulting in virtually no negative effects to grip. Perhaps what could be a downside, but is mostly a matter of personal prefewrence, is this somewhat weird mix/hybrid of sorta rounded, sorta sharp, and sorta flat edges. I definitely am someone who appreciates completely rounded edges for comfort reasons, but I've come to appreciate this unique design approach aesthetically and feel like it really has no ill effect on my comfort. To sum up, for $15 you should buy this case. It's basically THE PERFECT case for this price point. There are far more expensive cases that are not as good as this and are so overly complex that they lose sight of what they should be going for. This case gives you the one-two-punch for damage prevention: 1 preventing damage from drops with perhaps the most comfortable yet grippiest grip I've ever experienced, 2 on the off chance you do lose grip of your phone, the material seems high quality and quite durable, likely to handle just about any typical drops onto a flat surface. So yeah 5 stars, keep this up and you guys will probably be every phone case I buy for the foreseeable future. Bye bye Spigen.

One of the best looking TPU cases for the Pixel 7
When it comes to simple one-piece TPU phone cases, they're all very similar in terms of protection, durability, flexibility, weight, etc. They are all just molds of the same material - thermoplastic polyurethane - after all. So what differentiates one from another? The design itself. This review will focus on that aspect. One of the best design choices Ringke made that not many others follow is the decision to wrap the entire camera bar in the case, instead of opening up a little window for it. Yes, this does end up hiding the aluminum underneath, but it also provides one major benefit (aside from added protection): It preserves the design language of the Pixel. The Pixel's "camera bar" is a distinct, full-width protrusion off the back of the phone, with a sharp "shelf" above and below it. When cases use a little window, this design tends to get lost. With Ringke recreating it with the case design, the distinct silhouette of the Pixel returns and the camera bar shape stands out, just like it should. Outside of the official Google case and the Bellroy case, which use very thin borders to reveal the full camera bar (as opposed to a smaller rectangular window, like most cases do), the Ringke comes the closest to maintaining the Pixel's unique look -- even if it is all hidden behind the case. Other things of note: - The tapered front lip is excellent. Side gestures are really easy to execute thanks to this design. - The flat sides make the phone feel boxy and give it more of an industrial look. Pro or con depending on your personal taste. - The dot texture (sides) and sandstone-like texture (back) feel super nice. Have not seen that back texture on a TPU case before Ringke. It feels -- and looks -- great. - Oval cutout for the camera flash + mic was a really smart design choice: It pairs perfectly with the oval camera cutout. - Buttons remain nice and clicky - Case is relatively slim and adds very little bulk overall - Ringke branding is only on the side, which is nice and unobtrusive Things I'd like to see: - The texture of the camera bar could be slightly smoother (not glossy -- rather, it should match the product renders). It's very matte, so it tends to blend in with the sandstone back. A smoother appearance would help it stand out even more, since it can only be differentiated by texture, not color. - The camera bar design could extend all the way to the sides, instead of being separated by a glossy strip (see pics). If Ringke did this, it would closely match the Pixel's camera design. - Colors other than green and standard-TPU-black would be nice. - (personal preference) Lanyard holes are fine but unnecessary. would rather have that area clean Overall? 5/5. Great design at a fair price. In fact, this case now has me looking to Ringke in the future, where in the past it was only Spigen and Caseology. Nice job Ringke.

A good compromise between bulky protection and slim fit
Bought for a Pixel 8 Pro. I'm actually liking this case more than I thought I would. Previously I'd used another brand on a similar model phone that was bulky but had tons of padding. It really felt like it was super protective but added quite a bit of heft to the phone. This one still feels like it can save it from a small drop but it manages to be much more svelte all around. I really like the way the sides feel. There's a fine pattern that is easy to grip, and there are scalloped edges at the top and bottom that are good finger rests, which makes getting the phone out of a pocket easier. The screen facing edge is raised on the top and bottom, but not by much. It's fine for setting face-down on a flat surface, but anything at all beyond dust is liable to scratch the screen, especially if you've applied a thicker glass screen protector. The section surrounding the camera bar is a bit more raised and offers a tiny bit more protection, which is nice. Perhaps my only real complaint is with the buttons. The volume rocker is fairly small on these phones and also located pretty close to the power button. The buttons on the case are fairly plain and only the volume up has a nub to set it apart from the others. The nub could really stand to be larger as it's easy to miss just going by feel. Other than that minor quibble, this is a great case that should be provide minor to moderate drop protection without feeling flimsy or cheaply made.

Great Case!
I got this because it was green and had a smooth back for a popsocket, not expecting it to be too durable. I was pleasantly surprised though because I have dropped my phone so much with this on and not a single crack or anything. It does not show dirt or fade like lighter colors. The only thing I've done to it was chew up the plastic on one corner dropping it on some rough concrete. Buttons work fine don't have to push hard or anything. Definitely worth it.

Extremely thoughtful design
I have to second the other reviewer who complimented the extremely thoughtful design of this case. I had a super-slim Ringke skin on my very first smartphone years ago, but I've been a Spigen case user for years on other Pixels and have liked them well enough. I didn't like the look of the Spigen offerings this year for the Pixel 7 and bought this instead. And am I ever glad I did! It is slim and doesn't add much bulk to the Pixel 7; the whole package is about 6mm wider than my Pixel 3 with a Spigen case on, which is really saying something. I also encourage prospective buyers to study the pictures of this case because the texturing, shape, and cutouts are so well thought-out. There are piles of cheap cases that are just rectangular boxes, but someone put some serious thought into making this one a good experience! The texturing on the side is subtle but grippy, and the different texture on the back looks great and adds some variety to the back of the case as well as helps with grip. I went from always having the phone sliding out of my hands to having it balance perfectly in my grip with this case. And I must emphasize that the texture is subtle while functional. It looks terrific and feels good and stable without being disruptive to the touch. The raised lip around the corners is hard to notice when you look at it quickly, and it doesn't interfere with the usage of the phone, but it adds more face-down protection, and it gently lowers around the middle of the phone so you can swipe with ease. The cutouts around the USB port etc. are very clean and precise and leave good room for cords and such. I love that this case protects the whole camera bar, keeping the disctinctive Pixel look without leaving it completely bare. (I think the cases with a whole rectangular cutout for the bar look kind of silly.) It's a smoother texture than the rest of the case back, which again adds a nice visual touch. The buttons are super tactile and low-profile. The "Ringke Onyx" branding is in a tasteful spot, low on the right edge of the phone rather than super huge on the back like many manufacturers. The case doesn't interfere with a full-coverage screen protector. And finally, the Dark Green is such a handsome color! It's a great deep forest green and looks wonderful. I am very pleased with this and greatly appreciate the thoughtful design.

Quality drop?
Why? I had purchased the case for the Pixel 9a before and I absolutely fell in love. The product was very good quality and felt premium, very sturdy, solid and textured. Now, I bought another one for the new Pixel 10a and seems like they lowered the quality. Why? This one feels very soft, easy to bend, almost feels like cheap silicone, and the texture on the sides also changed, it still provides good grip but I liked how the previous one felt on the hand, it was truly a better feeling. I'm afraid this material will soften even more with time and become a loose case since it already is too soft on the sides, unlike the other model you had to apply force to take it off. They should have just kept everything exactly the same and just adjusted the measurements and shape to fit the new model. I'm giving 3 stars hoping they maintain their quality and don't go cheap in the future.
