2004 Lexus LX470 rear door replacement speaker
2004 LX470 rear door replacement speakers. Just the right size (4.5 inches outside diameter - an unusual size). I replaced the blown Mark Levinson amp with car amp that has Bluetooth so I needed 4 ohm speakers to replace the 8 ohm factory speakers. These fit great, no cutting required. I did need to drill 2 holes in the old speaker mount and add 2 screws. They sound much better than I expected for their size. I kept the old ML tweeters in place and wired them in also.

Great full range speaker.
Very clear and full sounding speaker. Put it in a .20 cubic foot box with a 1” x 3 3/4” port and a cheap tweeter and you’ll be happy. Trust me. I used a cheap Bluetooth amp board 50 x 2 and it sounds wonderful. I built one speak and it fills my den very well. The first time I powered it up I thought I was also Bluetoothed to another speaker due to the bass. For the price you can’t go wrong.

Great sound! Required cutting to fit JL/JT sound bar.
Just an FYSA - these are not a drop-in replacement for JL/JT sound bars, I had to use an oscillating tool to trim the outer frame to fit.Once trimmed and installed, they sound great. The JL/JT sound bar mid-bass section is already ported, and these reach down fairly low for a 4" speaker, even without an amplifier. The sound is much better as a dedicated component/mid-bass driver than what you get with a coax speaker. If you don't want to cut up your sound bar to fit a larger diameter speaker, I'd recommend these.

Ummmmm they act much bigger than they are
Wow! 4" woofer! Ummm.. These little things are BEASTS!. They pound like 8" and they just deliver.. The excursion is amazing for their size. I took two older bookshelf speakers and made a Bluetooth speaker jam box with a cheap Amp and wow.. They go deep for the size and really fill up my entire kitchen with sound like full size speakers would... Highly recommend these little crazy incredible hulks! Over the last few days played anything from smooth jazz to Hard Rock to anything you throw at them and the price is so cheap! That's a rare find to have speakers this good for very little money.. Buy them.. You will NOT AT ALL be dissapointed.. Update.. They still are pounding like champs... I ordered two more and will continue to with Bluetooth speaker box projects.. I'm running them off a Bluetooth amplifier board that is rated at 120 watts x 2 but we all know in reality that those little Amp boards are a little hefty on the claim of actual rms power.. However, I get a good clean 60 to I'd say 80 watts per channel and they hang at the rated power.. Just a very well made inexpensive killer small subwoofer.. Don't be afraid because of the low price.. They rock..

Powerful if you user a pip tube
This is a great speaker for the price. I use a pipe tube directly over the front of the speaker. I am using the speaker in a DIY AMP sound system. I have a $30 50Wx2 plus 100W base AMP and 2 Dayton Exciter tweeter speakers. I place a corigated tube directly over the front of the speaker. This puts out a ton of base. With out a pipe tube I don't thik it puts out much base at all. I am tweaking my speaker design to get the best sound quality between this Mid Base speaker and the Tweeters. I might have to add to more Exciters to get better high end or add a mid end speaker only. In conclusion: I am impressed with this speaker for. The price and size if used with a Pipe Tube setup.
