Very fun puzzle to do! When I opened the box I didn’t realize the pieces would be a funky shape. But that made it so much more fun to do. The puzzle didn’t come with a puzzle paper so I had to use the box cover.

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Bought this Puzzle for my Father for Christmas based on the good reviews and others on the internet claiming this brand is one of the top brands for a quality made puzzle. I personally was impressed with the colorful pictures on the box and the thickness of the box that holds the puzzle pieces but I did not open it myself. After giving this puzzle to my father as a gift, he has reported that he loves the quality of the puzzle pieces themselves and is already happily building the puzzle. The price seems reasonable and the quality is top notch. Good Luck.

This brand is awesome and fun

I am a longtime fan of Springbok puzzles and have been assembling them since childhood. I always enjoy finding new and fun themes to assemble, especially when it's a collage. This was definitely an appealing puzzle to work, but I was slightly disappointed in the quality of the pieces. Typically Springbok puzzles are very sturdy and stay in place easily, but for some reason there were several pieces that weren't a snug fit and came loose easily. This is not normal for a Springbok puzzle, so I don't know if it was this particular batch or if there was another reason for the change in quality. Nevertheless it was still a lot of fun to assemble, and I will look forward to putting it together again at a later time. In the meantime, it's on to the next Springbok puzzle!

What a fun puzzle! Duplicates of each can kept me on my toes.

It's been 50+ years since I assembled a puzzle! I bought my first 1,000 piece puzzle last month from another well-known company but was disappointed that it contained 3 duplicates and 5 missing pieces. What a let down. After research, I found that Springbok is the best and this puzzle was proof. No dupes & none missing. The pieces are thicker with better edges. The shapes are unique and I decided the puzzle masters at Springbok are mischievous because of the "false edges" I found on many pieces. Once I realized how deviously complex Retro Refreshments was, I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together. It was just the right amount of challenge for me. Bought my second Springbok puzzle today and looking forward to more.

I had childhood memories of working Springbok puzzles, so this took me back. However, it also made me realize that there are now LOTS of other puzzle manufacturers, many of which offer a higher-quality product in the same price range. (Cobble Hill and White Mountain, for example.)Pros:-Good resolution on the puzzle image. Crisp, not fuzzy.-Larger than an average 1000-piece puzzle, so pieces were larger and easier to handle-Some very unique piece shapes, which was fun compared to a "standard" jigsaw pattern.Cons:-Some pieces were already bent or peeling upon opening the box-Poor fit to the pieces overall. Not too much of an issue for this image, since it was easy to tell visually if you had the correct piece in place, but for a more monochromatic image it would be frustrating.-The graphic of the soda cans repeats. Lazy.-After completion, the puzzle surface was rough and uneven to run your hands over. Not smooth and satisfying like a higher-quality puzzle.
