Works with both still camera and video once you know how!
Purchased to use to remote control the video recorder with Samsung S8. To use to start and stop video recording on your phone, go into your phone camera, into the settings cog, and set the 'Volume Key function' to 'record video'. To switch it back to using for the still camera, choose 'take pictures'. None of this is obvious in the limited instructions, but otherwise it's a brilliant little thing at a great price.

RECOMMEND!
I have an Iphone 7 and when I saw the compatibility list it only says for Iphone 6 (check pictures below for the compatibility list to see if your phone is compatible) but I was very surprised that i got to connect it to my phone. It was very EASY TO USE, I LOVE IT! it also comes with a string handle making it very handy. And the best part is that, it has an extra battery when the other battery in the camera shutter dies down. In order to connect make sure your bluetooth is on and you just simply turn on the camera shutter and a blue light will show indicating that it is connected. Then you just press the black button with the green circle and start taking pictures! EASY! check pictures below

Easy, works with Pixel 2, but short battery life and range
Bought this product for a solo trip. Was super easy to set up, was just a matter of turning the product on and pairing with my device. Was worried with the fact that other users were reporting issues with pairing to Google Pixel 2 device and using the in camera app, but I had no issues whatsoever. Worked with the inbuilt camera just fine. Only criticism would be that the batteries don't seem to last very long and the range is quite short. Overall would recommend this product to others!

I'm so happy with this product.. fit for the purpose it was made for. Easy to use and pair with Bluetooth without any difficulty. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a simple and sophicated wireless bluetooth camera shuttle

Once connected it works fine.
I bought this to replace a cheaper bluetooth remote that came with a selfie stick that never connected properly. I am using it with a Sony Xperia A1 with its default camera and I am happy with it. It can sometimes be an issue connecting, but once connected it works fine. I have learned to make sure it is paired, before launching the camera app and this seems to do the trick. It does come with a wrist strap, but have not used as it would be visible in the pictures.

Bought this for my husband as a Valentine gift and he absolutely loves it, he is amazed at the quality of the pictures he can take now with his phone. We took this kit to the concert and the quality of the videos we took are absolutely amazing, especially for the distance and height we were away from the stag

Now fails to work at all.....peter
