this product took straight flame from a propane torch and nothing happened, I'm using it as insulation from a heating duct and nylon tent material. The duct gets to 270deg and one layer of the blanket keeps it insulated to ambient temp. Great product. Only thing that I don't like is it is grabby with dirt/dust.

It is burn proof for cigarettes. Kind of a felt fabric and white cigarette may eventually burn through if left for a long time, like 10 minutes, but not sooner.For the purpose I purchased it, it's perfect. Also soft so if I use it to cover couch and sit on it, it's comfortable. Definitely worth the price.

I bought the blankets for automotive work. Having multiple small blankets worked very well for shoving in nooks and crannies to prevent welding sparks from getting between panels.During metal fabrication the blankets held up, without burning, when hit with a flame from an oxy-acetylene torch. When the flame hit the blanket it turned orange, as if the blanket was burning, but when the torched was moved the blanket wasn't burning and was undamaged.

Have used carbon torch guards before and they work well. These seem to block the heat ok, but they smoked a lot and caught on fire like they had been sprayed with oil. I mean a LOT of smoke. After the first 5 minutes, they worked better. They do seem to be heavier than some others I have used, so I think they make hold up longer.

Perfect wick material - also good for fire blocking

It is felt so you have to cut and handle it carefully or it will tear. Have make ever-lasting lamp wicks out of it and they work great. Would recommend this product.

I placed this in the wall behind the pipe and starter soldering copper pipe. This blanket caught fire full flames and almost caught the inside of the wall on fire above the opening hole in the wall, not good
