Excellent, Powerful and durable
Bought the rog ally not too long ago and it performs excellent bought a UGREEN dock for it and it's a daily driver PC it's great for someone to start off and they will be able to play any game! Sound quality is very good. Screen quality is 10/10 IPS 120HZ perfect for some competitive titles. East to connect to WiFi and to setup up connectivity 10/10. Comfort is very nice in hand. Battery is good enough and durable if you get a case!

Extremely amazing as a product, could not be happier even months after.
Asus did such a great job, never had something as good as this! Still need a good hand to develop but so far so great for a very good price! I use it as a laptop mirroring it in my other Mac with Teamviewer. Honestly 11 out of 10 to the storage capacity, heat management, sound quality, noise level (counting the gaming handhelt that it is), easy to setup and overall very good. Only one note, careful with overheating of the micro SD. Buy a very good one and do not use it to save game there. Only media for that in my opinion.

Brilliant
While the battery doesn’t last long( 1 hour on highest settings), it far better than the steam deck.Fast booting up, armoury app has the most needed pc shop apps on it( not to everyone’s taste but I really like it) and armoury is where up you can alter major setting all in one place.Only done side is that for the cost and considering it’s a mobile pc, it lacks a case but seems ASUS just wants us to spend more money. All steam approved games play perfectly and touch screen is responsive.A perfect gaming mobile pc platform which with a decent docking station, makes a perfect pc for desktop gaming.I’m disabled and cannot sit at a pc due to spinal arthritis that is fusing my spine together and the rog ally is perfect for gaming while lying down as well as on move.Would not swap this for anything and compared to a £700 pc tower( without screen etc for £700) this stands up well and beats a £700 pc tower in many ways.

excellent handheld
had this for a few months now and it never stops to amaze me in how well it works and how great games run on it from Steam, Gamepass and cloud gaming all work great. i have since increased the storage from 512gb to 2tb and only issue i have is the battery life. where possible i cloud game to my pc or xbox at home and it lasts for a few hours no issues but running directly it only lasts max an hour if your lucky, i have managed to get it to go longer with lower settings but not by much. battery life is the only draw back with the Ally. i would have given it 5 stars if the battery life was even double what it could do but sadly it isnt and i have to carry a power pack or plug it in to play for longer.

Let down by Windows 11
The media could not be loaded. Final edit, not even a full 3 weeks and it's getting sent back.Tonight I was playing Doom Eternal, no issues, playing GTA V, no issues. Fired up the Xbox App to stream my Xbox and just as I go to play it black screened and booted into the bios. Couldn't get it to boot back into windows, boot options said there was no bootable device even though I could see the ssd on the screen. Cpu temp looked high to me as well, which is weird as the machine has always been well ventilated.Had my Steam Deck 2 1/2 years with no issues had this just shy of 3 weeks and it's going back faulty.well done Asus, won't buy another.Edited after 2 weeks to reduce the stars. This thing does NOT work well with Steam either in desktop mode or big picture. Really let down with its software.I don't dislike the ROG Ally and I'm not good with Linux but I've had my Steam Deck since it launched way back and the software experience is way better on the Steam Deck. Now that that's out of the way I will say after tweaking the software on the Ally it is a much better machine the 1080p screen and 120hz refresh rate do make for a better visual experience.Definitely need to upgrade the storage on it though 512gb on a windows system is NOTHING 2 modern games installed and no more space on it [gotta leave X amount on ssd free]Doesn't look to hard to upgrade either, slightly easier than my Steam Deck was.I'd only give the Steam Deck 4 stars so don't think I'm far to biased, the Ally has some features that I wanted that's why I bought in.It's worth getting but research tweaking it before playing the games, it's really let down by Windows 11 and Microsoft. Also kudos to Asus on an armory crate that's worth having installed, my Tuff Gaming A15 had it and I found it to be useless on it. took it off.
